Academic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences, Business Administration, Management, Economics, Education or a relevant discipline.
Training in project management, M&E, gender, safeguarding or youth/workforce development is desirable.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in project implementation, community development, workplace improvement, youth employment, skills development and livelihoods, gender or related development programmes.
Experience working with NGOs, private-sector partners, factories or training institutions is desirable.Experience in activity coordination, documentation and reporting.

Strong documentation and report-writing skills.
Good knowledge of MS Office and digital tools.

The Project Officer will support the day-to-day implementation of “Ensure Decent Employment through building Capacity, Equality, Networks and Transitions (DECENT) project activities at community and enterprise levels, ensuring timely and quality delivery of project interventions, effective stakeholder engagement, accurate documentation, and achievement of project outputs and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Implementation
Support preparation and implementation of annual, quarterly and monthly activity plans.
Coordinate project activities with participating factories, workers, youth, young women, community groups, training providers and other stakeholders.
Organize and facilitate project meetings, orientations, workshops, training sessions and consultations.
Ensure activities are implemented in accordance with approved plans and budgets.
Workforce Development and Employment
Support worker and youth skills mapping and profiling.
Facilitate career pathway, skills development and employment transition activities.
Support training enrolment, skills recognition and employment linkage initiatives.
Coordinate with employers and training providers to identify suitable employment and skills-development opportunities.
Enterprise and Workplace Activities
Support implementation of factory-level workplace improvement initiatives.
Assist in activities related to OSH, gender equality, workplace communication, worker feedback and climate resilience.
Support management-worker dialogue and workplace engagement activities.
Assist the Assistant Project Manager in enterprise assessments and improvement planning.
Monitoring and Documentation
Collect and maintain participant information, attendance, activity data and field-level monitoring information.
Maintain project files, photographs, case studies, success stories and other documentation.
Support regular monitoring visits and follow-up with project participants.
Identify implementation challenges and communicate them to the supervisor.
Coordination
Maintain regular communication with participating enterprises and community stakeholders.
Coordinate with Finance and Administration for timely logistical arrangements.
Support coordination with government agencies, training providers and other project partners.
Reporting and Learning
Prepare activity reports and contribute to periodic project reports.
Document lessons learned, success stories and emerging good practices.
Support preparation of presentations, briefing materials and donor updates.
Safeguarding and Inclusion
Ensure gender equality, safeguarding, inclusion and confidentiality principles are integrated into project implementation.
Promote safe and respectful participation of workers, youth and women in project activities.
