Education:

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, Architecture, Urban Planning, or a related technical discipline.

Minimum 3 years of progressively responsible professional experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role within refugee camp, humanitarian, or large-scale infrastructure development settings.



Responsibilities & Context:

Site Development Planning and Technical Oversight

  • Lead the planning, implementation, and supervision of site development interventions, including slope stabilization, drainage construction and rehabilitation, pathways, stairways, retaining structures, and other community infrastructure works.

  • Supervise Project Assistants and field teams to ensure all construction activities comply with approved engineering designs, technical specifications, Bills of Quantities (BoQ), and quality standards.

  • Conduct regular technical assessments of camp infrastructure and identify priority rehabilitation and construction needs in coordination with the Lead Engineer.

  • Support engineering surveys, measurements, design verification, and work planning prior to implementation.

  • Ensure all infrastructure interventions are designed and implemented to reduce landslide, erosion, flooding, and access-related risks within refugee settlements.

  • Monitor work progress and productivity to ensure timely completion of project targets and milestones.

  • Ensure environmental and disaster risk reduction considerations are integrated throughout planning and implementation processes.

  • Recommend design improvements and corrective measures where implementation challenges or technical risks are identified.

  • Provide regular technical updates and recommendations to the Lead Engineer regarding implementation progress and site conditions.
