Responsibilities:

• To Provide qualitative medical service to the patient (General, Pediatric unit)

• To counsel patient and patient attendance regarding surgical procedures and take consent for operation during any surgical health camp.

• To attend specialized consultancy camp as assistant of consultant.

• To check and provide monthly regular medicine and health camp medicine requisition to medical storekeeper considering medicine’s quality and cost effectiveness.

• Taking care of surgical patients in ward especially doing all the dressings stitching of traumatic injury patients in coordination with OT-in-charge.

• Preparation of monthly service data report and send it to MIS officer.

• Primary screening of the patients for any surgery camp.

• To give post-operative treatment in consulting with PM/Anesthetist during any surgical camp in the ward and patient shade.

• Regular Cleanliness of own service area and appropriately fill up daily quality checklist chart to ensure assets status (functional or not).

• To make daily quality checklist with ensuring assets status (functional or not) – Daily

• To maintain Patient Record Register-Daily, Secondary health camp register to keep patients details for further query, secondary health camp medicine store register.

• To manage any emergency patient and refer as per condition of the patient to the Sadar / District Hospital in coordination with program manager for better management.

• To Inform and disseminate program activities to the community leaders, allied persons and FCMs through outreach and BCC team in new location of every ship movement and also Coordination with village/char doctor, teacher and other relevant local stakeholder

• To attend capacity building sessions on Clinical aspects, Monthly Coordination meeting, meeting with regarding Clinical Issues, monthly performance and visits etc. arranged by Program Manager.

• Assist in OT when needed.

• Any work assigned as per advice of higher authority.

• Taking the lead during Secondary Health Camps roster duties.

Educational Requirements:

• Educational Qualification: 4 years course of certified medical assistant training program.

• Experience working in the hard-to-reach area will add value.
