Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in forestry, Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management (NRM), Environmental Engineering, Urban Planning.

• Age At least 25 years

Minimum 3 years of progressively responsible professional experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role within refugee camp or humanitarian settings.

Technical Oversight and NbS Activity Management

• Lead the planning, implementation, and supervision of plantation, reforestation, biological slope stabilization, and environmental rehabilitation activities under Nature-based Solutions (NbS).

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to Project Assistants and field teams to ensure interventions comply with approved designs, technical specifications, and project standards.

• Conduct site assessments and support the identification, prioritization, and design of suitable locations for plantation and biological slope stabilization interventions.

• Oversee species selection, planting methodologies, maintenance plans, and environmental restoration approaches to maximize intervention effectiveness and sustainability.

• Ensure timely implementation of activities according to work plans, implementation schedules, and project targets.

• Monitor the quality, progress, and impact of field interventions and recommend corrective actions where necessary.

• Provide regular technical advice to the Environmental Specialist regarding intervention design, implementation challenges, and adaptive management measures.
