Experience:
Sound knowledge of accounting, financial management, and microfinance operations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and accounting/MIS software (gBanker experience preferred).
Good understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and compliance.
Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills in Bangla and English.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple branches, and meet deadlines.
Honest, accountable, detail-oriented, and willing to travel frequently to field branches.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Visit all assigned branches every week.
2. Ensure that cash and cash vouchers at the branches are properly maintained by the Branch Manager and Program Officer.
3. Ensure that each branch deposits its daily cash collections into the approved bank on time.
4. Ensure that daily accounting activities are completed on time and that daily operations are carried out properly. Provide support whenever necessary.
5. Ensure that the Program Officer and Branch Manager are using the gBanker App and Kobo App properly.
6. Ensure that loan disbursement at the branches is carried out according to the prescribed procedures and in compliance with organizational policies.
7. Verify petty cash bills and vouchers and ensure the proper utilization of petty cash advances.
8. Update the stock register on a weekly and monthly basis and ensure that records of fixed assets and stock are properly maintained.
9. Immediately inform the Area Manager of any unusual incidents related to daily financial transactions.
10. Inform the Area Manager regarding the servicing and necessary repairs of organizational assets. If computers or motorcycles require repair, notify the Head Office Administration Department and take necessary action according to their instructions.
11. During field visits, maintain polite and courteous behavior with members.
12. Maintain cleanliness and a proper working environment in the office.
13. Report any damage to or loss of organizational assets to the branch authority.
14. Maintain the confidentiality of all confidential matters. No official information may be disclosed without prior approval from the appropriate authority.
15. When necessary, conduct field visits with Program Officers and meet with clients to resolve issues.
16. Ensure that each branch completes its monthly closing on time.
17. Perform any other duties assigned by the Area Manager and Regional Manager.
