  • At least 2-3 years of experience in an HR support role in NGO/INGO
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes and labor laws.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Proactive, with the ability to work both independently and in a team.
  • Fluency in English and Bangla (both written and spoken).

Preferred:

  • Experience in the non-profit sector.
  • Familiarity with HR software and systems is required & preferred.
  • Knowledge of digital tools for HR processes.

Position Overview:

The HR Assistant will support the Human Resources department by assisting with the recruitment process, maintaining employee records, handling administrative tasks, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures. This position will play a key role in the smooth operation of HR activities and help ensure compliance with labor laws and organizational policies. The HR Assistant will report to the HR Officer and work closely with staff members to address day-to-day HR-related queries and issues.

Type of appointment: Annual Contract which is renewable subject to satisfactory performance and availability of the requirement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in recruitment activities including job postings, interviewing, and selection processes.
  • Maintain and update employee records, including personal details, contracts, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal HR policies.
  • Support in the preparation and execution of onboarding and orientation programs for new employees.
  • Assist in managing HR databases and generating reports as required.
  • Support the HR Officer in organizing training sessions, workshops, and employee development initiatives.
  • Coordinate employee leave requests, attendance records, and prepare relevant documentation.
  • Assist in employee engagement activities and internal communication.
  • Provide administrative support for HR-related documentation, including contracts, certificates, and letters.
  • Assist in payroll processing by ensuring all employee data is up-to-date.
