Education: Master's Degree in Education/ M.Sc,or a related field (e.g., English, English Literature General Science, Science, or equivalent). B.Ed / M.Ed is highly desirable.
Experience: Minimum 8 years of teaching experience with at least 4-5 years in a school leadership role.

Job Summary:
Muslim Hands is a UK-registered international relief and development NGO, established in 1993 in response to the Bosnian crisis. Since then, it has grown into a global humanitarian organization delivering emergency aid and long-term development programs in over 32 countries.
Muslim Hands has been operating in Bangladesh since 1995, focusing on improving the lives of vulnerable communities through interventions in Education, Health, Food Security, Livelihoods, Shelter, WASH, Religious Infrastructure and Emergency Relief.
Muslim Hands Model School (MHMS), Uttarkhan, Dhaka, a part of our Education Programme, is currently seeking a dynamic, experienced, and compassionate Senior Teacher to join our leadership team. The selected candidate will serve as a pivotal leadership figure, supporting the principal in driving the institution's vision of delivering transformative education. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth execution of daily operations, maintaining academic excellence, and fostering a holistic educational environment that promotes both intellectual and personal growth for students at the Dhaka campus.
Key Responsibilities:
Academic Leadership:
• Support the Principal in the strategic development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the school's academic curriculum and programs at MHMS, Dhaka, ensuring alignment with educational standards and the mission of Muslim Hands International.
• Ensure high teaching standards are maintained across all subjects and grade levels through regular classroom observations, curriculum reviews, and teacher collaboration.
• Ensure the implementation of school policies related to assessment, examination, and student performance monitoring.
• Assist in conducting regular teacher evaluations and providing constructive feedback to promote professional growth.
• Conduct subject-based classes according to his/her expertise.
Student Affairs:
• Address student discipline issues promptly and fairly, ensuring a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment that aligns with the school's values.
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to identify students requiring additional academic, emotional, or mental health support and coordinate appropriate interventions.
• Ensure Islamic values are integrated into daily activities and curricula.
• Lead and expand student programs and initiatives that promote extracurricular involvement, including sports, arts, leadership opportunities, and community service.
• Develop and implement student leadership programs to empower students to take active roles in the school community and beyond.
Staff Supervision & Development:
• Supervise teaching and non-teaching staff at MHMS, Dhaka, ensuring adherence to school policies and professional standards.
• Assist the Principal in the recruitment and hiring of new staff members.
• Organize and facilitate professional development sessions, workshops, and training programs to enhance teaching methodologies, classroom management, and administrative skills.
• Serve as a liaison between the staff and the principal, addressing concerns, fostering open communication, and promoting a collaborative work environment.
Administrative Duties:
• Assist the Principal in preparing and managing the school's budget, ensuring financial resources are used efficiently.
• Oversee daily administrative operations, including scheduling, record-keeping, and facility management.
• Participate in school committee meetings and contribute to decision-making regarding school policies and initiatives.
• Act as the Principal's representative in their absence, ensuring that school operations continue smoothly.
Community and Parent Engagement:
• Foster positive and proactive relationships with parents, guardians, and the broader community in Uttarkhan, Dhaka to build trust and collaboration.
• Organize and lead parent-teacher meetings, workshops, and community events to strengthen communication and engagement.
• Encourage community involvement and seek partnerships that benefit the school and its students.
• Act as a school ambassador in community forums, advocating for equitable education and the empowerment of marginalized students.
Islamic Values and Culture:
• Ensure that MHMS, Dhaka adheres to Islamic principles in its policies, programs, and activities.
• Collaborate with the Qur'an and Islamic Studies teachers to develop programs that promote Islamic character and moral education.
• Organize and oversee Islamic events, celebrations, and charity initiatives within the school.
• Adhere to the school's safeguarding and child protection policies at all times.
• Promote values of honesty, respect, gender equity, and inclusiveness within the learning environment.
