Education, Experience and Other Requirements:

• Minimum Educational Qualification: BSc/MSc in Physics/Applied Physics, Bachelor's Degree with Honours in Physics or a related subject (e.g., Applied Physics, Physical Sciences) from a recognized university.

• Preferred Qualification: Master's Degree in Physics or a B.Ed./Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Education with a specialization in Science/Physics.

• Excellent communication skills in both Bangla and English, with a strong command of Physics concepts and terminology.

• Proficiency in using basic ICT tools for teaching, lesson preparation, and maintaining student records.

• Strong classroom management skills and a student-centered teaching approach.

• Passion for teaching science and a willingness to work in a rural/underprivileged setting (Sreepur, Gazipur), contributing to the organization's vision of educational development.

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in Physics at the secondary level (Classes 6-10) under the national curriculum is required.

• Proven experience preparing students for the SSC Physics examination is highly preferred.

Job Summary:

Muslim Hands has been operating in Bangladesh since 1995, focusing on improving the lives of vulnerable communities through interventions in Education, Health, Food Security, Livelihoods, Shelter, WASH, Religious Infrastructure and Emergency Relief.

Muslim Hands Gulzar Bahar Khanam (RH) School of Excellence, Gazipur, a part of our Education Programme, is currently seeking a qualified, enthusiastic, and dedicated Physics Teacher to join our academic team. The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Physics instruction to students at the secondary level (Classes 6 to 10), fostering scientific inquiry, and preparing students for their SSC examinations in line with the National Curriculum of Bangladesh.

Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum Delivery & Lesson Planning:

• Prepare and deliver engaging, well-structured Physics lessons for students in Classes 6 to 10, strictly following the NCTB curriculum guidelines.

• Simplify complex scientific concepts through practical demonstrations, experiments, diagrams, and real-life examples to enhance student understanding and interest.

• Develop and utilize lesson plans, teaching aids, and laboratory resources to facilitate effective learning.

Student Assessment & Progress Monitoring:

• Regularly assess student progress through class tests, quizzes, assignments, practical experiments, and term examinations.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date academic records for each student.

• Provide constructive feedback to students and parents to support academic improvement and prepare students for the SSC Physics examination.

Laboratory & Practical Work Management:

• Plan and conduct physics practical classes in the school laboratory, ensuring students gain hands-on experience with experiments.

• Ensure all safety protocols are followed during practical sessions and that students handle equipment responsibly.

• Assist in maintaining the physics laboratory, including managing inventory of equipment and chemicals, and reporting any maintenance needs.

Classroom & Student Management:

• Foster a safe, disciplined, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages scientific curiosity, critical thinking, and active participation.

• Identify students who require additional academic support and provide remedial assistance to help them grasp challenging topics.

Professional Development & Collaboration:

• Collaborate with fellow science teachers to plan interdisciplinary lessons, science fairs, and co-curricular activities.

• Actively participate in teacher training programs, workshops, staff meetings, and academic planning sessions organized by the school.

• Maintain the highest standards of ethical and professional conduct in all interactions with students, colleagues, and parents.
