∎ B.Sc in Textile Engineering from any reputed university preferred.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ As a Sustainability Assistant you will play a key part of the team. You will assist and support to drive the sustainability agenda and contributes to the execution of the company’s environmental and social sustainability strategic plans. This role will be supporting the delivery and tracking of the retailers initiatives and commitments, ensuring that all our supply, products, supply chain, and operations contribute to a healthy and more sustainable environment.
∎ Support to identify and establish key sustainability trends for the upcoming season prepare key trend presentations to the buying and design teams.
∎ Support sustainability targets through management of governance and documentation process, including but not exclusive to Better Cotton, HIGG / ZDHC and Chemical safety.
∎ Support the implementation of the sustainable raw material strategy in collaboration with internal functions including Design, Sourcing, Production, Merchandising, and Marketing
∎ Contribute to create sustainability knowledge across all levels and functions of the organization
∎ Contribute to address internal requests about raw materials and product sustainability attributes, facilitating internal communication about preferred fibers and material classification
∎ Track, monitor and report on each division’s sustainability goals progress in line with the broader sustainability strategy, tracking environmentally preferred materials uptake and progress, including our raw materials mapping
∎ Maintain seasonal records of sustainable product charts including specific sustainability attributes for each product
∎ Work with business leads and suppliers to support the integrity of sustainable product claims by reviewing verification documents, standards and utilizing key certifications to ensure substantiation of sustainability claims
∎ Develop quarterly reports in social and environmental sustainability
∎ Support with invoice processing, administrative and legal tasks.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Good knowledge & experience in apparel manufacturing and retail
∎ Previous related work experience/internships in supply chain, product development, fabric/raw material, and/or sustainability/corporate social responsibility in the apparel industry preferred
∎ Up to date with the latest sustainability trends, best practices, and textile processes.
∎ Ability to build clear, confident, positive communication with company colleagues and suppliers with the ability to form relationships, influence, and work collaboratively across the business
∎ Technology skills and experience to develop robust tracking
∎ Good interpersonal, influencing, listening, organizational, presentation and decision-making skills
∎ Self-motivated and able to work under pressure, quickly and efficiently
∎ Excellent communication skills & fluent in English – written & verbal
∎ Good time management.
