Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor/ Masters in any discipline.
∎ B.Sc in Textile Engineering from any reputed university preferred.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 10 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Keeping up to date with trends and innovations to feed into business strategy.
∎ Drive consistency of product quality & fabric compliance standards in accordance with requirements.
∎ Execute objectives inline with company requirements & quality specifications including fit, fabric, color, testing, customer returns and cost of quality with action planning to ensure compliance
∎ Define & execute quality & technical processes & protocols for fabric & product with regular reviews
∎ Support team to review and approve samples, such as style, construction, workmanship and quality, measurement to ensure that they meet product specifications, resolving all queries.
∎ Provide technical advice and support to factories, customers, merchandising team and technical team
∎ Evaluate if there are any safety and functional issues and advice corrective solutions
∎ Recommend the process simplification & cost saving alternative options to the buyer
∎ Drive digital tools for garment technical process and automation for product, fabric & color approvals
∎ Product Engineering (Knowledge of Fabrication and behavior, Knowledge of Machinery, foresee production difficulty during initial sample stage and propose alternative options).
∎ Contribute to the sustainability agenda and meet business sustainability targets
∎ Managing and developing team driving high potential talent.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Good overall knowledge of end-to-end manufacturing, quality standards & fashion retail, including (Fabric/Color/Fitting/Construction/Measurement/Workmanship/Safety/Production/Sustainability)
∎ Experience in manufacturing industry with sound quality experience, including digital / 3D technology
∎ Ability to think strategically, drive innovation and market leading ideas
∎ Build clear, confident, positive communication with company colleagues and suppliers with the ability to form relationships, influence and work collaboratively across the business
∎ Demonstrate strong people management and leadership skills
∎ Good Interpersonal skills - You must be enthusiastic, well presented with excellent organization skills
∎ Self-motivated and able to work under pressure, quickly and efficiently
∎ Excellent communication skills & fluent in English – written & verbal.
