  • Product Development (Knit Garments)– Expertise in developing samples as per buyer’s technical specifications and fashion trends.

  • Costing & Pricing Analysis– Strong command in pre-costing, final costing, and price negotiation ensuring profitability.

  • Buyer Communication & Relationship Management– Excellent in maintaining effective communication and long-term engagement with international buyers.

  • Production & Order Management– Proficient in coordinating with production and planning teams to ensure on-time order execution.

  • Sourcing & Supply Chain Coordination– Skilled in fabric, accessories sourcing and vendor management to ensure timely delivery.

  • Team Leadership & People Management– Proven ability to lead, supervise, and develop a high-performing merchandising team.

  • Compliance & Audit Handling– Well-versed in social, technical, and security audits as per buyer’s code of conduct.

  • ERP & Data Management– Experience in working with ERP systems for order tracking, inventory control, and reporting.

  • Trend Analysis & Market Research– Capable of analyzing market trends and customer behavior for strategic planning.

  • Quality Assurance Knowledge– Solid understanding of quality control processes to meet international standards.



Responsibilities & Context:
  • Lead the product development process for knit garments and collaborate closely with the design team to ensure sample creation as per buyer specifications.

  • Negotiate with both local and international suppliers and vendors to procure quality raw materials and accessories within budget and lead time.

  • Review buyer orders and conduct technical and merchandising analysis to prepare efficient execution plans.

  • Prepare accurate costings during both pre-costing and final costing stages to ensure profitability and competitive pricing.

  • Maintain regular communication with buyers via email, phone calls, and meetings to ensure alignment and foster long-term relationships.

  • Ensure timely preparation and delivery of all types of samples including development, fit, size set, pre-production, and shipment samples.

  • Manage inventory efficiently and align resource planning with production schedules to avoid unnecessary stock accumulation.

  • Coordinate closely with production, quality, planning, and compliance teams to execute orders accurately and on time.

  • Assign responsibilities, monitor performance, and train merchandising team members to build a high-performing, accountable team.

  • Ensure proper preparation and documentation for all types of audits including social compliance, technical, and security audits.

  • Create and distribute fabric, accessory, and embellishment details for every style to the relevant departments in a timely manner.

  • Monitor production schedules closely and take proactive steps to resolve potential delays and ensure on-time delivery.

  • Operate ERP/software tools effectively for tracking order status, inventory levels, and generating necessary reports.

  • Coordinate buyer visits, inspections, and sourcing meetings during production and ensure professional representation of the factory.

  • Analyze market trends, competitor strategies, and customer preferences to support product innovation and merchandising strategies.

  • Support export documentation processes including billing, invoice, LC handling, and coordination with customs.

  • Maintain product quality at every stage of production to meet or exceed buyer expectations and international standards.

  • Arrange necessary product testing and certification to comply with European or buyer-specific quality requirements.

  • Prepare periodic reports on sales, profitability, lead time, and production performance for presentation to senior management.

  • Take an active role in any additional assignments or special projects assigned by senior management to support business growth.
