Education:
    • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Environmental Science

Bachelor’s degree in Science,Social Compliance, or related discipline.

SA 8000 Lead Auditor (preferable)·       

Diploma in compliance (preferable)·       

Certified APSCA/CSCA (preferable)·       

Good knowledge of Bangladesh Labor Law, buyer compliance standards, and sustainability frameworks.·       

Strong skills in audit coordination, documentation, and reporting.·       

Good communication and coordination skills with factory management, workers, and external auditors.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).



Responsibilities & Context:

The Executive To support the corporate compliance function by ensuring all factories operate in accordance with the Bangladesh Labor Law, buyer codes of conduct, and sustainability standards. The role involves coordinating compliance activities, monitoring factory practices, and supporting internal and external audits to maintain full compliance across operations.

Job Responsibilities :

1. Audit Execution

· Conduct on-site social compliance audits in factories and associated facilities.

· Inspect workplace conditions, health & safety practices, and labor standards.

· Verify compliance with local labor laws, buyer requirements, and international standards (such as ILO conventions, industry codes of conduct, and brand compliance guidelines).

2. Document Review

· Review and analyze payroll records, attendance/timecards, personnel files, and employment contracts.

· Verify age documentation and ensure there is no child labor or underage employment.

· Check compliance with wage, working hours, benefits, and statutory requirements.

3. Worker Interviews

· Conduct confidential interviews with workers to assess workplace conditions, worker rights, and management practices.

· Ensure interviews are carried out without management presence to maintain confidentiality and transparency.

· Document worker feedback and identify potential compliance risks.

4. Reporting

· Prepare clear, accurate, and objective audit reports based on audit findings.

· Identify non-compliance issues and provide practical recommendations for improvement.

· Submit audit reports within the required timeline to management and relevant stakeholders.

5. Follow-Up and Corrective Action

· Monitor and verify the implementation of corrective action plans (CAPs).

· Conduct follow-up audits to ensure that previously identified non-compliance issues have been resolved.

· Provide guidance to factory management on improving compliance and maintaining sustainable practices.

Additional:

· Ensure full compliance with Bangladesh Labor Law, BEPZA and maintain readiness for unannounced buyer and third-party audits.

· Coordinate and organize employee training and awareness programs on compliance, safety, labor rights, and sustainability.

· Liaise with buyers, external auditors, and certification bodies, and support all third-party audits, documentation, and CAP (Corrective Action Plan) follow-ups.

· Maintain and update compliance policies, licenses, permits, certifications, and legal documents in accordance with regulatory and buyer requirements.

· HIGG Index data management and reporting.

· Review compliance reports, identify risks, hazards, and non-compliance issues
