Experience:
Diploma or equivalent in any discipline from a recognized institution. Educational qualification may be relaxed for highly experienced candidates.
Candidates must have professional training on LEAN, Garments Industry Management etc.
Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in the RMG industry, with proven experience in handling renowned international buyers/brands such as Levi’s, GAP, Next, M&S, Tommy Hilfiger or other comparable global brands.
Drive manufacturing excellence across all seven woven factories by developing, embedding, and continuously improving production floor processes, lean practices, and best-practice frameworks to ensure consistent efficiency, quality, and cost performance across the division.
Provide functional direction and technical leadership to Heads of Production through the dotted-line relationship to set clear manufacturing standards, align practices across all sites, and support issue resolution, ensuring all factories operate to agreed divisional benchmarks.
Identify and lead cross-factory efficiency improvement initiatives by analyzing production data, benchmarking SMV accuracy and takt time adherence, and implementing targeted interventions that reduce waste, improve line efficiency, and lower cost per minute (CPM) across the factory network.
Build the manufacturing capability of Heads of Production and their production teams through structured on-floor coaching, skills-transfer programs, and operator skill development initiatives, embedding a culture of continuous improvement and operational accountability at every level of the production floor.
Drive systematic operator skills improvement across all factories by assessing current skill levels, designing structured multi-skilling and up-skilling programs, and monitoring skill matrix progression to improve operator efficiency, flexibility, and quality output.
Establish and maintain a robust manufacturing performance management framework by defining KPIs, including factory efficiency, SMV achievement, takt time adherence, and operator skill indices, monitoring factory-level results, and reporting performance to the CEO-SBU to enable data-driven decision-making.
Standardize production floor processes, work methods, and operating procedures across all seven factories by designing and implementing consistent SOPs, ensuring adherence through regular audits and structured floor-level visits.
Collaborate with Plant Heads, IE, Planning, and Quality teams to align manufacturing capacity, SMV standards, takt time targets, and process standards with production schedules, customer requirements, and business objectives to support on-time delivery.
Evaluate, introduce, and embed new production technologies, equipment, and working methods across the factory network to maintain competitive operational capability and support long-term efficiency improvement.
Must be able to conduct effective training and utilize machines & manpower properly to minimize cost and increase efficiency.
