Educational Requirements
B.Sc. / Diploma in Textile Engineering or Garment Manufacturing Technology from a reputed institution.
Specialized courses or training in Garments CAD, Pattern Making, or Quality Management will be an added advantage.
Experience Requirements
At least 4 to 7 years of working experience in a reputed woven/knit apparel manufacturing industry in a similar technical role.
Strong background in handling international buyer accounts (Specially UK buyers)
Additional Requirements

Sound knowledge of garment construction, pattern scaling, measurement grading, and machine operations.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced factory environment.
Good command of English (written and spoken) and sound computer literacy (MS Office, Excel, and production software).
Job Context
We are a 100% export-oriented reputed garments manufacturing/buying industry, looking for a dynamic, proactive, and experienced professional for the position of Garments Technologist.
Key Responsibilities
Review tech packs, buyer specifications, and design sketches thoroughly before production initiation.
Coordinate closely with merchandising, production, and quality assurance teams to resolve technical and construction issues.
Conduct risk assessments during sample stages (Proto, Fit, PP meeting) and provide technical solutions to minimize bulk rejection.
Check fit samples, size sets, and pre-production (PP) samples to ensure compliance with buyer standards and measurement charts.
Guide the production and sewing floors on critical operations, garment construction techniques, and quality benchmarks.
Inspect fabric, trims, and accessories specifications to ensure they match buyer requirements.
Monitor and analyze root causes for internal defects or buyer claims and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Stay updated with modern apparel technology, garment finishing trends, and productivity optimization techniques.
