Experience:
Professional degree (ICMA / ACMA/ CA / ACCA partly or fully qualified preferred).
Software Mastery: Deep experience with apparel-specific ERPs (like FastReact, SAP, or Oracle) and advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query).
• Technical Skills:
o Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas).
• Core Competencies: Deep understanding and practical knowledge of sewing line structures, IE, wash-plant costs, apparel manufacturing processes, fabric consumption metrics, commercial procurement, and cost-benefit analysis.
Experience: Practical experience in Finance & Accounts, with at least 4 years specifically in Costing and Cost Control within the RMG/Garments manufacturing sector.
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical and result-driven Manager for Accounting Cost Analysis and Cost Control to join our garments manufacturing division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing product costing, analyzing manufacturing variances, optimizing material utilization, and implementing strict cost-control measures across our production units. This role is pivotal in maximizing profitability, minimizing wastage, and ensuring accurate financial forecasting.
Key Responsibilities
Cost Analysis & Reporting:
• Conduct detailed CM (Cost of Making) analysis, fabric utilization costs, and trims/accessories expenses.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual manufacturing cost analysis reports for senior management.
• Analyze standard costs versus actual production costs to identify and explain variances.
Cost Control & Optimization:
• Monitor and control factory overheads, labor costs, and operational expenditures.
• Identify areas of wastage (fabric wastage, rejection rates, idle time) and implement corrective action plans.
• Collaborate with Commercial, Procurement, and Production teams to optimize supply chain and raw material costs.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
• Assist in developing annual budgets for the garment production units.
• Forecast cost trends based on raw material market fluctuations (yarn, fabric, dyes, chemicals).
• Evaluate the financial feasibility of new machinery purchases or line expansions.
Inventory & Auditing:
• Oversee periodic physical inventory verification of raw materials, Work-in-Progress (WIP), and finished goods.
• Establish internal control mechanisms to prevent revenue leakage and inventory discrepancies.
