Alam Textile & Garments is one of Bangladesh's leading apparel manufacturers, recognized for its commitment to quality, operational excellence, and continuous innovation. We are looking for a dynamic, results-oriented General Manager – Production to lead our production operations and drive manufacturing performance at our Shyampur factory.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all production operations to ensure achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.

• Develop and implement production strategies to improve productivity, efficiency, and cost optimization.

• Ensure on-time delivery while maintaining the highest standards of product quality.

• Collaborate closely with Merchandising, Planning, Industrial Engineering (IE), Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth production flow.

• Monitor production KPIs and implement corrective actions to improve factory performance.

• Optimize manpower utilization and production capacity.

• Drive Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement and waste reduction initiatives.

• Ensure compliance with workplace safety, environmental standards, and buyer requirements.

• Lead, mentor, and develop production managers, line managers, and supervisors.

• Prepare production reports and present operational updates to senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing, or a related discipline. Master's degree will be an added advantage.

• Minimum 12–15 years of experience in garment manufacturing, including at least 5 years in a senior production leadership role.

• Strong experience in woven garment manufacturing; experience in babywear will be an added advantage.

• Proven expertise in production planning, line balancing, efficiency improvement, and capacity planning.

• Strong leadership, decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and people management abilities.

• Sound knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Quality Systems, and compliance requirements.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production reporting systems.
