Experience:
HSC / Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
Relevant educational qualifications in Textile, Apparel, Garments, or Industrial Engineering will be preferred.
Experience
5–10 years of relevant experience in garment finishing operations, including significant managerial experience.
Minimum 7 years of experience in a large-scale, export-oriented Knit, Woven, and Denim garment manufacturing facility.
Experience in a reputed Garments/Group of Companies will be preferred.
Proven experience in managing finishing operations for Top, Bottom, and Jacket garments.
Experience with reputed international buyers will be highly preferred.
Additional Requirements
Must have proven experience in managing finishing operations in a large-scale Knit, Woven, and Denim garment manufacturing facility.
Experience with international buyers such as Walmart, Matalan, Next, Dickies, Kohl’s, Disney, M&S, PUMA, Inditex, Decathlon, etc. will be highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of the complete finishing process, including ironing, visual inspection, alteration, folding, tagging, assortment, packing, and shipment preparation.
Strong knowledge of finishing capacity planning, manpower allocation, line balancing, productivity, and efficiency improvement.
Must be capable of analyzing Man–Machine–Material (3M) requirements and optimizing resource utilization.
Ability to analyze working hours, manpower, machine capacity, and production capacity to achieve daily finishing targets.
Strong knowledge of quality control processes and buyer quality requirements.
Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication, and team-management skills.
Good command of written and spoken English.
Good computer literacy, particularly in MS Office and production-related reporting systems.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight shipment deadlines.
We are a 100% export-oriented and reputed Knit, Woven & Denim Top, Bottom, and Jacket garment manufacturer, looking for a dynamic, proactive, and experienced professional for the position of Manager – Finishing.
Take overall responsibility for the Finishing Department, ensuring timely completion of production with the required quality standards.
Develop and implement daily, weekly, and monthly finishing plans in line with sewing output, shipment schedules, and production requirements.
Monitor finishing capacity and ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, materials, and available working hours.
Analyze finishing capacity by process, including ironing, visual inspection, alteration, folding, tagging, assortment, and packing, and allocate resources accordingly.
Ensure achievement of daily, weekly, monthly, and shipment-wise finishing and packing targets.
Monitor and control finishing WIP and develop corrective action plans to avoid bottlenecks and production delays.
Ensure finished garments meet approved quality standards and buyer requirements before shipment.
Work closely with Production, IE, Quality, Planning, Merchandising, Sewing, and Packing teams to ensure smooth product flow and timely shipment.
Monitor and analyze finishing efficiency, productivity, manpower utilization, working hours, and capacity against planned targets.
Ensure effective implementation of the Man–Machine–Material (3M) concept for optimum resource utilization and operational efficiency.
Maintain and monitor finishing-related consumables, packing materials, and accessories to ensure uninterrupted production.
Ensure proper floor discipline and compliance with workplace health and safety requirements within the finishing section.
Lead, motivate, train, and develop finishing personnel to improve productivity, quality, and technical capability.
Monitor individual and team performance and take necessary actions to improve productivity and efficiency.
Identify finishing-related quality issues, production bottlenecks, machine/equipment problems, and delays and ensure timely corrective actions.
Coordinate with relevant departments to resolve quality, capacity, WIP, and shipment-related issues.
Follow up buyer inspections and maintain effective communication and professional relationships with buyer representatives.
Prepare and maintain daily, monthly, and annual finishing performance reports and databases, including output, capacity, efficiency, manpower, and shipment performance.
Analyze annual and monthly shipment plans and establish finishing and packing capacity targets accordingly.
Ensure timely completion of shipment while maintaining required quality, efficiency, and productivity standards.
Ensure proper maintenance and upkeep of finishing equipment and coordinate with the relevant department for timely repair and maintenance.
Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by Management.
