We are looking for a proactive and committed Executive – Welfare to ensure employee welfare, maintain sound industrial relations, and support compliance with the Bangladesh Labour Act and company policies. The incumbent will be responsible for addressing worker grievances, coordinating welfare programs, monitoring statutory welfare facilities, supporting employee engagement initiatives, and fostering a safe, healthy, and productive work environment within the factory.
Brief JD:
Establish and maintain harmonious industrial relations by fostering effective communication and consultation between management and workers.
Receive, investigate, and facilitate the prompt resolution of individual and collective worker grievances through appropriate channels.
Coordinate with management and workers' representatives on matters related to wages, employment, and workplace concerns through joint consultation.
Liaise with the factory Medical Officer to ensure effective healthcare services and employee well-being.
Facilitate and monitor the activities of the Work Committee, Joint Production Committee, Welfare Committee, and Cooperative Society to promote employee participation and welfare.
Monitor and ensure the availability and proper maintenance of employee welfare facilities, including canteen/dining areas, crèche, clean sanitation facilities, safe drinking water, and other statutory amenities.
Assist management in administering leave with wages, educate employees on leave policies and entitlements, and guide them in the proper submission of leave applications.
Counsel female employees on maternity leave procedures and statutory maternity benefits, maintain records of employees on maternity leave, conduct follow-up with employees who do not resume work after leave, and monitor the well-being of employees before and during maternity leave.
Conduct awareness sessions and advise employees on occupational health and safety practices, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), machine guarding, sanitation, OSHA requirements, and fire safety.
Perform any other duties assigned by factory management in support of employee welfare, industrial relations, and statutory compliance.
