JOB CONTEXT
Silver Composite Textile Mills Ltd. (Unit-03) is a vertically integrated non-denim woven textile mill with approximately 3.2 million yards/month capacity, including yarn-dyed, solid-dyed, and rotary/digital printing capabilities. The GM will lead Marketing, Sales and Business Development to generate profitable international business, maximize capacity utilization, develop new buyers/markets, grow existing accounts, and achieve approved sales and profitability targets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Sales & Business Development
Lead overall Marketing, Sales and Business Development for non-denim woven textiles.
Develop new international buyers and expand existing accounts across USA, Europe and other strategic markets.
Build relationships with brands, retailers, sourcing/buying offices, buying houses and garment manufacturers.
Lead strategic customer development, negotiations and the complete business pipeline from prospect to bulk order.
2. Capacity, Sales & Profitability
Drive optimum utilization of 3.2 million yards/month capacity.
Develop sales and capacity-booking plans and maintain adequate forward-order coverage.
Achieve approved sales revenue, yardage, ASP, margin and profitability targets.
Ensure commercially viable customer/product mix and realistic sales forecasts.
3. Product & Technical Knowledge
Strong knowledge of yarn-dyed, solid-dyed, rotary/digital printed and value-added non-denim woven fabrics.
Understand fabric construction, yarn count, GSM, width, shrinkage, stretch, colour, finish, lead time and costing.
Work with R&D, Production, Dyeing, Printing, Laboratory and Finishing on commercially viable product development and seasonal collections.
4. Buyer & Market Development
Develop qualified leads through customer networks, direct approaches, sourcing offices, trade fairs and market visits.
Drive customer meetings, sampling, costing, quotation, negotiation and conversion to bulk orders.
Build strategic long-term customer accounts and monitor development-to-order conversion.
5. Costing, Pricing & Negotiation
Lead major commercial negotiations and ensure competitive but profitable pricing.
Monitor customer/order/product profitability and protect required margins.
Coordinate with Costing, Production, Commercial and Management before major commitments.
6. Customer & Order Management
Maintain strong relationships with key customers and drive retention, account growth and repeat business.
Ensure proper order handover and coordination with PPC, Production, Quality, Commercial and Supply Chain.
Monitor strategic orders, delivery/quality risks, complaints, RCA/CAPA and customer satisfaction.
7. International Business & Market Intelligence
Represent the company in international customer meetings, sourcing events and textile fairs.
Travel internationally as required.
Monitor market trends, customer sourcing strategies, competitor capabilities, pricing and emerging products.
Provide actionable market intelligence to Management.
8. Commercial, Forecasting & Reporting
Coordinate payment terms, LC and other commercial conditions with Finance/Commercial.
Monitor receivables and support collection where required.
Provide accurate weekly/monthly/quarterly sales, order, capacity, pipeline, profitability and receivables reports.
9. Team Leadership
Lead and develop the Textile Marketing & Business Development team.
Set measurable targets and ensure accountability for revenue, yardage, margin, new buyers, conversion, retention and forecast accuracy.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
B.Sc. in Textile Engineering strongly preferred; MBA/postgraduate qualification in Marketing, International Business or Business Administration is an advantage.
Minimum 15 years' relevant experience in textile marketing, sales and business development, preferably in an export-oriented non-denim woven textile mill.
Preferably 5+ years in a senior leadership role such as GM/DGM/AGM/Head of Textile Marketing.
Strong international experience in non-denim woven fabrics, particularly yarn-dyed and solid-dyed; printing experience preferred.
Proven track record of developing international buyers and converting developments into bulk orders.
Strong network with international brands, retailers, sourcing offices, buying houses and garment manufacturers.
US and European market experience preferred.
Candidates must demonstrate previous sales revenue, fabric volume, customer portfolio, markets handled, new customers/business generated and team size managed.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Proven business-generation capability, strong international customer network, technical knowledge of non-denim woven fabrics, commercial negotiation skills, analytical and strategic ability, excellent English communication, willingness to travel, and proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, ERP/CRM and management reporting systems.
Note: Candidates whose primary experience is in denim, knit textiles, knit garments or garment merchandising without substantial non-denim woven fabric marketing experience will not be considered.
