Responsibilities & Context: Job Location: Follow-up at the production units in Different areas.
Job Description / Responsibility
- Develop precise and accurate patterns for a wide range of knit, woven garments, adhering to design specifications and buyer requirements.
- Execute pattern grading for multiple sizes, ensuring proportional accuracy and consistency across all size ranges.
- Collaborate actively with design, merchandising, and sampling teams to understand garment aesthetics, fit intentions, and construction details.
- Conduct thorough fitting sessions, identify any fit or style discrepancies, and implement necessary pattern adjustments promptly.
- Ensure all patterns comply with international sizing standards, buyer-specific measurement charts, and quality benchmarks.
- Optimize fabric consumption through efficient pattern development and marker making, contributing to cost- effectiveness.
- Maintain a wellorganized digital and physical library of patterns, blocks, and grading rules for easy access and version control.
- Provide expert technical guidance and support to the sample room and production floor regarding pattern interpretation, construction methods, and fit issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve pattern-related challenges that may arise during sample development or bulk production, implementing corrective actions.
- Participate in preproduction meetings, offering insights and solutions to potential pattern or construction complexities.
- Sound knowledge of manual and/or computerized pattern making (e.g., AutoCAD/Gerber/Lectra will be a plus).
- Strong understanding of garment construction, fitting, and grading techniques.
- Hands-on skill in cutting and marker making.
- Ability to read and interpret technical sketches and specification sheets.
- Good communication skills and ability to work under production deadlines.
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, and a team player.
- Develop patterns from designs, sketches, or sample garments for various apparel styles.
- Prepare master patterns and grade patterns across the full-size range accurately.
- Work closely with designers and merchandisers to interpret design concepts into wearable patterns.
- Make patterns for proto, fit, and size-set samples, and revise based on fit comments.
- Check and correct patterns for measurement accuracy, fabric consumption, and construction feasibility.
- Coordinate with the cutting and sewing sections to ensure patterns are correctly interpreted in bulk production.
- Maintain a proper record and library of approved patterns and markers.
- Calculate and optimize fabric consumption through efficient marker planning.
- Ensure timely delivery of patterns in line with the production and sampling schedule.
- Guide and supervise pattern helpers/cutters as required.
- Maintain quality standards and ensure patterns comply with buyer/brand specifications.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
