Experience:
Minimum HSC or Equivalent
Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferable
Additional professional training in production management, Lean, or industrial engineering will be an advantage.
Experience in handling multiple production lines and large-scale knit garment operations
.Strong experience with export-oriented garment manufacturing and international buyer requirements
Strong leadership and team-management skills.
Excellent knowledge of knit garment production processes.
Strong understanding of production planning, line balancing, SMV, efficiency, and capacity.
Good knowledge of garment quality requirements and defect prevention.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability.
Good analytical and reporting skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight shipment deadlines.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement.
Proficiency in MS Office and production/ERP systems is preferred.
Job Context:
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Senior Production Manager / Production Manager to lead and manage knit garment production operations. The position will be responsible for achieving production targets while ensuring quality, efficiency, timely shipment, optimum manpower utilization, and compliance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, and control daily, weekly, and monthly knit garment production activities.
Ensure production targets are achieved according to the approved production plan and shipment schedule.
Monitor line loading, production capacity, manpower allocation, and machine utilization.
Coordinate with Planning, IE, Quality, Merchandising, Cutting, Finishing, Store, Maintenance, and Compliance departments.
Monitor production efficiency, DHU, rejection, alteration, rework, absenteeism, and line performance.
Identify production bottlenecks and take immediate corrective actions.
Ensure proper implementation of SMV, target, line balancing, and work-study recommendations.
Improve line efficiency and productivity through effective manpower and machine utilization.
Ensure production follows approved buyer requirements, technical specifications, quality standards, and critical operations.
Work closely with the Quality team to minimize defects, rejection, alteration, and customer complaints.
Ensure proper follow-up of new styles, critical operations, and production start-up.
Monitor production progress against the T&A and take preventive action for potential delays.
Control production costs and minimize fabric, trims, manpower, overtime, and other operational losses.
Maintain discipline, safety, housekeeping, and a positive working environment on the production floor.
Develop and motivate production teams, including Production Managers, Line Supervisors, Operators, and Helpers.
Conduct regular production meetings and review line-wise performance.
Prepare and present production reports, efficiency reports, and KPI performance to management.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, line balancing, and waste reduction.
Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, buyer requirements, and factory procedures.
Take ownership of production performance and ensure on-time delivery of orders.
