Job Context:
∎ RDRS Bangladesh is a national humanitarian and development organization is operating in Bangladesh since 1972 with a Vision to ensure a just and peaceful society where citizens live in dignity, freed from poverty, distress and ignorance.
∎ Currently RDRS Bangladesh is inviting applications to fill the position of Senior Officer (HR) for its Head Office at Dhaka. This position is responsible for day-to-day multi-tasking responsibility to serve routine human resource management functions with a great deal of work with computer and software supported systems.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Working closely with various department/ program of RDRS for assisting line managers to understand and implement policies and procedures;
∎ Carrying out structured duties in respect to recruitment, drafting vacancy announcements, sorting and screening of CVs as per announced criteria, arranging interview etc.
∎ Processing and preparation of different HR letters such as letters of employment, contracts, promotion, transfer, termination, retirement, confirmation etc.
∎ Conduct orientation and induction of staff;
∎ Ensure on time performance appraisal in qualitative manner;
∎ Maintain staff record/file - both manual and electronic as per policy and HR guidelines of the organization and update them as required;
∎ Input HR related data in the HR Software;
∎ Undertake field visit to strengthen program activities for organizational productivity by identifying gaps;
∎ Carrying out any other assignments given by the Supervisor as and when required.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Good understanding of current best/standard practice in HR;
∎ Have willingness to visit RDRS Field offices or beyond;
∎ Excellent communication skill both in English and Bangla;
∎ Have good idea of staff development planning;
∎ Sound in computer especially in MS Word, MS-excel, PowerPoint.
