Responsibilities & Context:
  • Candidates with previous experience in Manufacturing organizations will be given preference.

  • Sound knowledge in L/C, Tax/VAT, Custom and Excise duty.

  • Capable in planning, organizing, prioritizing and coordinating work in a fast-changing environment.

  • Strong analytical, communication ability and negotiation skills.

  • Sourcing out capable reputed supplier(s) towards ensuring effective procurement of quality machineries/materials with competitive price by way of effective negotiation.

  • Follow up with the laboratory to verify samples against the correct sample tests using our set parameters and formulas. Identify any Issues in chemicals or spare parts and coordinate with the relevant department to enhance future orders. Communicate with suppliers to ensure smooth procurement processes.

  • Identify appropriate HS codes for customs tariff schedule compliance.

  • Deriving out total cost (landed cost) of each foreign procurement on the basis of involvement of duty, taxes etc. so that a comparison could be made if procured from local source.

  • Prepare comparative statement for all items and arrange approval from management to procure on time.

  • Place purchase orders of RM & PM ensuring flow of inventory to ensure optimum stock levels and meets turnover goals.

  • Maintain an extensive database for all orders that is up to date and provides information for analysis and reporting.

  • Maintain liaison with customs, C&F, Port Authority, Shipping agent, Bank, Insurance Company and other related Government officials.
