• Strong knowledge of Dhaka, Chittagong, and Gazipur sourcing clusters and their material ecosystems.

• Excellent vendor relationship-building and negotiation capabilities.

• Ability to support technical components sourcing for footwear R&D.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and digital communication tools.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• High adaptability, proactive attitude, and strong planning capability for extensive travel.

Market Exploration & Scouting

• Conduct extensive market visits across Dhaka, Chittagong, Gazipur, and other sourcing hubs to identify new and innovative materials, components, and accessories.

• Track emerging local trends, indigenous materials, and technical innovations relevant to export footwear design.

New Vendor Development

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard local suppliers for materials such as leather, textiles, soles, heels, trims, chemical sheets, and specialized footwear components.

• Perform initial assessments on quality, capacity, compliance, and commercial viability before vendor engagement.

Internal Stakeholder Collaboration

• Act as the key liaison between local vendors and the Design Lab/Product Development teams.

• Supply samples, cost sheets, and technical inputs to support rapid prototyping and sampling needs.

• Facilitate custom development of local components as required by the design team.

Negotiation & Costing

• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and MOQs with local suppliers to maintain competitive costing for export markets.

• Support the creation of cost benchmarks for locally sourced alternatives.

Supply Chain Resilience & Localization

• Develop a diversified and reliable local supply base to reduce dependency on imports and minimize lead time risks.

• Support strategic initiatives for local value addition aligned with Apex’s export competitiveness agenda.

Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain systematic records of market visits, vendor data, material samples, costing sheets, and sourcing evaluations.

• Prepare periodic sourcing updates, opportunity assessments, and performance dashboards for SCM leadership.
