Experience:
• Educational Requirements
o MBA/BBA in Supply Chain Management, Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Economics or related discipline from a reputed university. Preferred: Public University.
o PGD in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics Management or International Trade will be considered an added advantage.
• Experience Requirements
o 4–8 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Commercial, Import Operations or related functions.
o Prior experience in Paint, Coating, Chemical, Polymer, Manufacturing or Allied Industries will be given preference.
o Practical experience in Import Management, LC Operations, Customs Clearance,
• Procurement, Inventory Control and ERP Systems is mandatory.
• Additional Requirements
o Strong analytical, problem-solving and reporting capability.
o Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills.
o Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Bangla and English.
o Ability to prepare professional correspondence, management reports, regulatory submissions and supplier communications.
o Proficient in MS Excel and ERP software.
o Ability to independently analyze business issues, identify root causes and recommend practical solutions.
o Willingness to visit Customs offices, ports, suppliers, factories and regulatory authorities as required.

Job Purpose
To support the organization's procurement, commercial, import, inventory planning and supply chain activities through efficient sourcing, import management, customs and valuation support, supplier development, inventory control and cross-functional coordination. The position will play a key role in ensuring uninterrupted availability of raw materials and packaging materials while supporting cost optimization, regulatory compliance and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Manage procurement of local and imported raw materials, packaging materials, chemicals, pigments, additives and other operational requirements to ensure uninterrupted production.
Handle import operations including supplier coordination, LC processing, shipment follow-up, customs clearance coordination and documentation management.
Coordinate with suppliers, banks, freight forwarders, shipping lines, C&F agents and internal departments for smooth supply chain operations.
Analyze production forecasts, material consumption trends, lead times and safety stock requirements to ensure timely procurement and prevent stock-outs.
Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimum stock availability while minimizing excess inventory, slow-moving stock and working capital blockage.
Support customs valuation reviews, assessable value analysis, duty structure reviews, HS code verification, hearing preparation and regulatory correspondence with Customs and other authorities.
Prepare and maintain landed cost calculations, duty impact analyses and procurement cost comparisons to support management decision-making.
Identify and develop alternate local and international suppliers to reduce supply risk, improve competitiveness and strengthen business continuity.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms and commercial conditions with suppliers while pursuing cost-saving opportunities.
Monitor local and international market trends relating to key raw materials, freight, duties and supply risks and provide regular updates to management.
Prepare analytical reports covering procurement status, inventory position, supplier performance, shipment status, landed costs, assessable values and supply chain improvement initiatives.
Maintain procurement, inventory and shipment records in ERP systems and ensure data accuracy.
Ensure compliance with company policies, import regulations, customs requirements, VAT provisions and other statutory obligations.
Attend weekly factory coordination meetings and work closely with Production, Store, Quality, Finance, Accounts, Commercial and Sales teams to support business objectives.
Investigate supply chain issues, identify root causes and recommend practical corrective actions to improve planning, procurement and inventory performance.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in procurement, inventory management and supply chain processes.
Higher compensation may be considered for exceptionally qualified candidates.
