Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from a reputed university (BUET, KUET, RUET, CUET or equivalent).

• Industry Background: Direct experience in Personal Care, Cosmetics or Pharmaceuticals manufacturing plants is mandatory.

• Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of HVAC cleanroom design, pharmaceutical-grade purified water systems, ETP operations, and high-voltage electrical setups.

• Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Project, and specialized HVAC load calculation or electrical design tools.

• Soft Skills: Strong leadership, vendor negotiation, cross-functional collaboration, and troubleshooting capabilities under high-pressure scenarios.

1. Engineering & Project Management

• Design & Execution: Lead the planning, detailed engineering design, and execution of MEP systems for new project expansions and facility upgrades.

• Vendor & Contractor Management: Evaluate technical bids, supervise external MEP contractors, and ensure work meets Akij's strict quality and safety timelines.

• BIM & Documentation: Review and approve MEP layout drawings, single-line diagrams, P&IDs, and As-Built drawings using AutoCAD or BIM software.

2. Plant Operations & Utility Maintenance

• HVAC & Cleanrooms: Manage cleanroom HVAC systems (Class 10k/100k), HEPA filtration, and strict humidity/differential pressure controls required for cosmetic manufacturing.

• Process Utilities: Maintain critical process utilities including Purified Water (PW) loops, industrial steam boilers, chilled water systems, and oil-free compressed air.

• Electrical Distribution: Oversee HT/LT power distribution networks, sub-stations, diesel generators, online UPS systems, and automated PLC/SCADA integration.

• EHS & Waste Management: Supervise the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) operations to ensure industrial wastewater discharge strictly complies with Department of Environment (DoE) standards.

3. Compliance, Quality & Sustainability

• GMP & Validation: Ensure all MEP systems comply with international cosmetic GMP (ISO 22716) and local regulatory frameworks.

• Energy Optimization: Implement energy conservation and sustainability initiatives to reduce water, electricity, and fuel consumption across the facility.

• Preventive Maintenance: Design and execute a robust Preventive Maintenance (PM) calendar to eliminate unplanned machinery downtime.
