Experience:
Minimum 7–12 years in factory administration and HR, with at least 3–4 years in a managerial/controlling capacity, preferably in a manufacturing or RMG environment.
Strong working knowledge of the Bangladesh Labour Act 2006 (amended), Labour Rules 2015, and buyer compliance standards (social/technical audits).
General Administration & Facilities
Oversee day-to-day factory administration: office management, housekeeping, canteen, transport, security, and utilities.
Manage vendor contracts for admin services (housekeeping, security, transport, canteen, pest control, etc.) and control associated costs.
Ensure the factory premises, dormitories (if any), and common facilities are maintained to company and buyer-audit standards.
Supervise front-desk, visitor management, and liaison with local administration, police, and government offices as needed.
Manage company vehicles, fuel logs, and transport scheduling for staff and management.
Human Resources Operations
Oversee end-to-end recruitment and onboarding for factory workers and staff in line with manpower plans and budget.
Manage attendance, leave, and time-office operations; ensure accurate inputs to payroll processing.
Administer employee records, personal files, service books, and HRIS data with accuracy and confidentiality.
Coordinate performance appraisal cycles, promotions, transfers, and disciplinary processes across the factory.
Oversee employee welfare programs, grievance handling, and worker participation committees (WPC/PC) as required by law.
Manage separation processes — resignation, termination, retirement — including final settlement and exit formalities.
Statutory Compliance & Labour Law
Ensure full compliance with the Bangladesh Labour Act 2006 (as amended) and Labour Rules 2015, including working hours, leave entitlements, overtime, and welfare provisions.
Maintain statutory registers, licenses, and renewals (trade license, factory license, fire license, environmental clearance, etc.).
Liaise with the Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishments (DIFE), local labour office, and other regulatory bodies.
Coordinate buyer compliance audits (social/technical) and drive closure of corrective action plans (CAPs) related to HR and admin.
Ensure workplace health, safety, and fire-safety standards are upheld in coordination with the Safety Committee.
Industrial & Employee Relations
Maintain harmonious industrial relations; act as a key point of contact for worker representatives and trade union matters (where applicable).
Manage grievance redressal mechanisms and support conflict resolution between management and workers.
Support factory leadership in communication of policies, notices, and circulars to the workforce.
Budgeting, Reporting & Governance
Prepare and control the admin & HR budget; monitor spend against plan and identify cost-efficiency opportunities.
Provide regular MIS reports to factory and corporate management on headcount, attrition, absenteeism, and compliance status.
Ensure administrative and HR policies are consistently applied and updated in line with Akij Group's Service Rules.
