Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Medicine, Nursing, Midwifery, Public Health, Healthcare Management, or another relevant discipline.
Candidates with Nursing/Public Health qualifications will be given preference.
Relevant professional registration with an appropriate regulatory authority will be an advantage where applicable.
Minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience in a hospital, clinic, maternal and child health center, NGO health project, or healthcare facility.
At least 5 years of supervisory or facility-management experience is preferred.
Experience working in maternal, neonatal, child health, reproductive health, or community health programs will be an advantage.

Job purpose:
The MCHC In-Charge will be responsible for the overall management, coordination, supervision, and smooth operation of the mother and Child Health Center (MCHC). The position will ensure that quality maternal, neonatal, child, reproductive, and basic primary healthcare services are provided in accordance with organizational policies, approved project guidelines, government regulations, and accepted healthcare standards.
The MCHC In-Charge will also be responsible for staff supervision, patient service quality, medicine and medical supply management, documentation, reporting, community coordination, referral systems, and maintaining a safe, respectful, and patient-friendly healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the overall day-to-day operations of the MCHC and ensure smooth and uninterrupted service delivery.
Coordinate and communicate effectively with all MCHC staff and ensure that duties and responsibilities are properly performed.
Monitor staff attendance, discipline, performance and adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
Identify and resolve operational, administrative and service-related problems at the center in a timely manner, and escalate major issues to management when necessary.
Ensure proper coordination among medical, nursing, support and administrative staff to maintain efficient patient services.
Monitor the availability and proper use of medicines, medical supplies, equipment and other essential resources.
Ensure that the facility is clean, safe, functional and maintained in an appropriate condition for patients and staff.
Monitor patient flow, service quality and overall patient experience and address issues affecting service delivery.
Maintain regular communication with the Country Office and provide timely updates on the center's activities, challenges, requirements and performance.
Prepare and submit regular operational reports and relevant information to management.
Coordinate staff meetings and facilitate communication, problem-solving and follow-up of agreed actions.
Liaise with relevant service providers, suppliers, government authorities and other stakeholders when required.
Ensure compliance with ZFA policies, applicable health and safety requirements, confidentiality and professional standards.
Support the implementation of management decisions and follow up on required actions at the center.
Identify operational needs and recommend practical improvements to enhance the efficiency, quality and sustainability of the MCHC.
Perform any other duties related to the effective operation of the MCHC as assigned by the Country Director or designated supervisor.
