Experience:
Minimum Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in chemical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
3–6 years of relevant experience in production/manufacturing, preferably in pesticides, agrochemicals, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, fertilizers, or other process industries.
Experience with SAP systems is an advantage.
§ Plan, organize, and supervise daily, weekly, and monthly production activities according to approved production plans.
§ Ensure timely production of pesticides/agrochemical products as per required specifications and batch requirements.
§ Ensure proper utilization of raw materials, packaging materials, machinery, manpower, and other resources.
§ Supervise manufacturing operations including formulation, blending, mixing, filling, packing, and other applicable processes.
§ Ensure adherence to approved SOPs, batch manufacturing procedures, work instructions, and process parameters.
§ Lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase plant capacity and operational efficiency.
§ Ensure production activities comply with approved quality standards and specifications.
§ Work closely with QA/QC to investigate deviations, batch failures, complaints, and other quality-related issues.
§ Ensure traceability and proper identification of raw materials, intermediates, finished products, and rejected materials.
§ Ensure strict compliance with factory safety procedures and applicable chemical, environmental, and occupational health requirements.
§ Promote a strong safety culture across the production department.
§ Ensure appropriate use of PPE and safe handling, storage, transfer, and processing of hazardous chemicals.
§ Lead, supervise, and develop production supervisors, operators, technicians, and other production personnel.
§ Prepare manpower plans and allocate personnel according to production requirements.
§ Monitor employee performance, attendance, discipline, and productivity.
§ Identify training needs and ensure employees receive appropriate technical, operational, quality, and safety training.
§ Build a motivated, accountable, and performance-oriented production team.
§ Coordinate with the Maintenance Department to ensure production equipment is available and fit for operation.
§ Monitor equipment breakdowns and production downtime.
§ Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
§ Participate in equipment qualification, commissioning, validation, modification, and improvement projects where applicable.
§ Monitor consumption of raw materials and packaging materials against approved standards.
§ Minimize material wastage, rejects, rework, and production losses.
§ Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
§ Track KPIs such as:
§ Production output, OEE/production efficiency, Downtime, Rejection/rework, Safety performance
§ Present production performance and improvement plans to senior management.
§ Maintain proper production records and documentation.
