•Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering,/Apparel Manufacturing will be an added advantage.

• Strong and proven knowledge of outerwear garments manufacturing, including jackets, padded jackets, coats, parkas, winter wear, soft-shell and other complex garment products.

• Strong understanding of complete garment manufacturing processes from cutting through sewing, padding/filling, quilting, finishing, pressing and packing.

• Strong knowledge of production planning, line loading, capacity planning, line balancing and production control.

• Excellent understanding of Industrial Engineering concepts, including SMV, efficiency, productivity, capacity utilization, manpower planning and line balancing.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to identify production bottlenecks and implement practical solutions.

Position Purpose

To lead and manage the overall production operations of a 20-line outerwear garments manufacturing facility, ensuring achievement of production targets, quality standards, delivery commitments, productivity, efficiency and cost objectives. The position will be responsible for developing and implementing effective production strategies, optimizing manpower, machinery and production capacity, minimizing production losses and ensuring smooth coordination among Production, IE, Planning, Quality, Maintenance, Merchandising, Commercial, Supply Chain and other relevant functions. The role requires strong hands-on experience in outerwear manufacturing, including jackets, padded jackets, winter wear, coats, parkas, soft-shell and other complex garment products, with a strong understanding of international buyer requirements and the Bangladesh RMG industry.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the complete production operations of the 20-line outerwear garments factory, ensuring achievement of daily, weekly and monthly production targets.

• Develop and implement production strategies aligned with factory capacity, order volume, shipment schedules, product complexity and business objectives.

• Prepare production plans in coordination with Planning, IE, Merchandising, Commercial and other relevant departments to ensure smooth and uninterrupted production.

• Monitor production performance against planned targets and take immediate corrective actions to address delays, bottlenecks, capacity constraints and productivity gaps.

• Ensure optimum utilization of production lines, manpower, machinery, working hours and factory capacity.

• Drive line balancing, capacity planning and efficient allocation of styles and products according to product complexity and line capability.

• Ensure effective production planning and execution for outerwear products, including jackets, padded jackets, coats, parkas, winter wear, soft-shell garments and other complex constructions.

• Closely monitor critical production processes such as cutting, sewing, padding/down filling, quilting, bonding, seam sealing, pressing, finishing, washing, packing and other specialized outerwear operations as applicable.

• Ensure proper handling and production control of specialized outerwear materials such as shell fabrics, lining, padding, down/feather, synthetic insulation, tapes, membranes, zippers, trims and other accessories.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity, reduce production losses and improve overall factory efficiency.

• Coordinate closely with Maintenance to ensure preventive maintenance, timely machine servicing and minimum machine downtime.

• Ensure production follows approved samples, specifications, tech packs, measurement requirements, workmanship standards and buyer-specific quality requirements.

• Monitor fabric and accessory consumption, production wastage, rejection, rework and alteration to minimize material and financial losses.

• Lead daily production meetings and review production performance, bottlenecks, quality issues, material status, manpower and shipment risks.

• Ensure production documentation, reports and records are maintained accurately and on time.

• Prepare and present daily, weekly and monthly production performance reports to senior management.

• Perform any other production and operational responsibilities assigned by management.
