• Deshi Consumer Products Limited is a concern of Taha Group, a well-established and rapidly growing FMCG and import-based business conglomerate in Bangladesh. To support the expansion of our sales operations and further strengthen our Tea Department, we are seeking a competent, detail-oriented, and dedicated professional for the position of Assistant Manager/Manager in the Tea Department.

Job Purpose:

The Assistant Manager/Manager – Tea will be responsible for evaluating the quality, taste, aroma, liquor, and appearance of tea to ensure consistency and compliance with the company’s quality standards. The role will oversee and support raw tea selection, tea tasting, quality assurance, product development, tea auction participation, consumer preference analysis, and supplier assessment. The incumbent will also provide technical recommendations to ensure the procurement and development of high-quality tea products that meet market requirements and consumer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

· Conduct professional tea tasting and sensory evaluation of green leaf, made tea, and purchased tea.

· Evaluate tea quality based on liquor, aroma, color, brightness, strength, flavor, body, and aftertaste.

. Assess and approve tea samples for procurement, production, blending, and dispatch.

· Participate in tea auctions and evaluate available tea lots based on quality, grade, origin, market demand, and commercial value.

· Provide technical recommendations on tea auction purchases, including selection of suitable tea lots within approved quality and cost parameters.

· Conduct tea consumer-based analysis to understand consumer preferences, taste profiles, product acceptance, and changing market trends.

·Analyze consumer feedback and market requirements and recommend suitable tea blends, grades, and product improvements accordingly.

·Develop and maintain appropriate tea blends according to product specifications, consumer preferences, and market requirements.

· Monitor consistency and quality of tea products throughout the production and blending process.

·Coordinate with Procurement, Production, Quality Assurance, Sales & Marketing, and other relevant departments.

· Provide technical recommendations regarding tea procurement, quality, blending, storage, and product development.

·  Maintain tea tasting records, auction evaluation reports, quality reports, sample evaluations, and related documentation.

·  Monitor tea auction trends, market prices, tea quality, supplier performance, and competitor products.

· Conduct a comparative analysis of purchased and competitor tea samples to maintain competitive product quality.

·Guide and supervise tea tasting and quality control team members.

· Ensure compliance with company quality standards and applicable food safety requirements.

·Support management in developing new tea products and improving existing products based on consumer and market requirements.
