AkijBashir Glass Industries Ltd. (AGIL), a concern of the Group, operates a modern glass manufacturing and processing facility at Madhabpur, Habiganj. is looking for an experienced and result-oriented quality professional to lead Quality Assurance for its offline glass processing operations. The incumbent will establish, implement and sustain a robust Quality Management System across tempering, IGU, lamination, Low-E, digital printing, LID and customized mirror lines, ensuring every product consistently meets specification, applicable standards and customer requirements. The role will drive zero-defect delivery through proactive process control, problem solving and continuous improvement, and convert quality gains into measurable cost savings by reducing rejection, rework, scrap and cost of poor quality.

Job Responsibilities

·       Lead and develop the quality team across tempering, IGU, LID, digital printing, Low-E, lamination and customized mirror lines, including goal setting, coaching, skill matrices and succession planning.

·       Manage cross-functional interfaces with Production, Sales, Maintenance, R&D and Delivery.

·       Establish, implement and maintain the QMS in line with ISO 9001 and other applicable standards.

·       Maintain control documentation: SOPs, work instructions, inspection plans, control plans and quality records.

·       Conduct internal audits, host external/certification audits and ensure timely closure of non-conformities.

·       Define AQL sampling plans, inspection checklists and acceptance criteria for in-process and finished products.

·       Implement in-process quality checks (IPQC) at every critical stage and pre-delivery inspection (PDI).

·       Analyze rejection data, identify trends and implement corrective/preventive actions.

·       Monitor and report KPIs: first-pass yield, rework %, scrap % and customer rejection rate.

·       Drive cost optimization opportunities while sustaining quality standards and zero-defect delivery.

·       Prepare daily/weekly/monthly quality reports and present them in management review meetings.

·       Ensure traceability (batch/lot/serial number) of each product through to dispatch/delivery.

·       Ensure calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment and metrology.

·       Verify packaging, labelling and transit protection to avoid breakage and damage.

·       Handle customer complaints and ensure root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

·       Build a culture of quality awareness through training, communication and engagement programs across all levels.

Educational Requirements

·       Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Glass & Ceramic Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a relevant technical discipline.

·       ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification will be preferred.

Experience Requirements

·       8 to 10 years of experience in quality management of glass processing — Tempering, IGU, Lamination, Low-E, Mirror and Printing (low-temperature and high-temperature ink).

·       At least 2–3 years of experience in leading a quality team.

·       The applicant should have experience in the following business area: Glass Industry / Glass Processing.

Additional Requirements

·       Sound knowledge of ISO 9001 QMS, internal auditing, AQL sampling, IPQC/PDI and CAPA.

·       Strong analytical skills in rejection analysis, root cause analysis and quality KPI reporting.

·       Proven ability to lead teams and work cross-functionally with Production, Maintenance, Sales and R&D.

·       Good reporting and presentation skills; proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel).

·       Willing to work and stay at the factory location in Madhabpur, Habiganj.
