Responsibilities & Context:

• Oversee daily shift operations across all sections of the Chlorine Plant (HCl, Hypo, Chlorine Liquefaction, Product Storage, and Chlorine Cylinder Filling), ensuring safe, continuous production.

• Track critical process parameters through DCS/SCADA and regular field rounds to keep operating conditions stable and plant performance efficient.

• Monitor HCl Plant start-up and Hypo production to ensure stable and efficient operation, by monitoring process conditions, equipment health, and key operating parameters, and troubleshooting related issues.

• Manage Chlorine Liquefaction and Cylinder Filling operations, ensuring procedures are followed, equipment is ready for use, and handling is done safely.

• Lead plant start-ups, shutdowns, changeovers, and emergency responses in line with approved SOPs.

• Detect and resolve process deviations and operational issues through field checks, working with the relevant technical teams and process units to fix them promptly.

• Work closely with the Maintenance, Instrumentation, Electrical, Utility, and EHS teams during breakdowns, maintenance jobs, and operational problems to reduce downtime.

• Guide and supervise shift operators and plant staff, ensuring adherence to SOPs, process safety norms, chemical handling rules, permit-to-work systems, and EHS requirements.
