Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Textile Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing or a related discipline will be an added advantage.
• Professional training in Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, Supply Chain or ERP systems will be preferred.
• Must have substantial experience in garments manufacturing, preferably in a reputed export-oriented RMG factory.
• Experience managing stores/warehouses in a large-scale garment factory with 20+ production lines will be strongly preferred.
• Proven experience in managing fabric, trims, accessories, packing materials and production-related inventory.
• Experience in outerwear garments and handling specialized materials will be highly preferred.
• Experience with ERP-based inventory management and stock control systems.
• Proven experience in physical stock-taking, reconciliation, inventory variance analysis and loss prevention.
Position Purpose
To manage and control the overall store and warehouse operations of a 20-line outerwear garments manufacturing facility, ensuring timely receipt, proper storage, accurate inventory control and uninterrupted supply of fabrics, trims, accessories, packing materials and other production inputs. The position will be responsible for maintaining accurate stock records, minimizing inventory losses and wastage, ensuring proper material handling and storage, and coordinating closely with Production, Planning, Procurement, Merchandising, Cutting, Commercial, Finance and other relevant departments.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Lead and manage day-to-day store and warehouse operations, ensuring smooth and efficient material flow.
• Manage receiving, inspection, storage, issuance and return of fabrics, trims, accessories, packing materials and other production items.
• Ensure timely availability of materials to Production, Cutting and other departments according to approved production plans.
• Maintain accurate physical and system-based inventory records and ensure proper stock reconciliation.
• Monitor stock levels, minimum/maximum inventory, shortages, excess, slow-moving and obsolete materials.
• Ensure proper storage, identification, segregation and preservation of fabrics, padding, lining, zippers, trims, accessories and other outerwear materials.
• Control material wastage, damage, pilferage and unauthorized issuance through effective store procedures.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and periodic physical stock-taking and investigate inventory variances.
• Ensure proper documentation for GRN, material requisitions, issue notes, return notes, transfer notes and other store transactions.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Planning, Production, Merchandising and Finance to ensure uninterrupted material availability.
• Maintain proper housekeeping, safety, fire prevention and security standards within all store and warehouse areas.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly inventory and store performance reports for management.
• Perform any other store and inventory-related responsibilities assigned by management.
