• Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing, Garments Technology, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline will be an added advantage.

• Professional training in Production Management, Industrial Engineering, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma will be preferred.

• Must have substantial experience in outerwear garments manufacturing in a reputed export-oriented garment factory.

• Experience managing multiple production lines in a large-scale garment factory will be strongly preferred.

• Proven experience in jackets, padded garments, coats, parkas, winter wear, soft-shell or other technically complex outerwear products.

• Proven experience in managing production teams, supervisors, line leaders and operators.

• Candidates with experience in reputed export-oriented RMG factories in Bangladesh will be strongly preferred.

Position Purpose

To manage and control assigned production lines/production sections of a 20-line outerwear garments manufacturing facility, ensuring achievement of daily, weekly and monthly production targets while maintaining required quality, productivity, efficiency and delivery standards. The position will be responsible for effective utilization of manpower, machines and production capacity, line balancing, production monitoring, bottleneck identification, quality control, reduction of production losses and timely completion of orders.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise assigned production lines and ensure achievement of daily, weekly and monthly production targets.

• Plan and allocate manpower, machines and production resources according to style requirements, SMV, line capacity and production plans.

• Ensure smooth execution of production plans in coordination with Planning, IE, Quality, Merchandising, Technical and other relevant departments.

• Monitor hourly, daily and weekly production performance against planned targets and take immediate corrective action for shortfalls.

• Ensure optimum utilization of production lines, manpower, machinery and working hours.

• Implement effective line balancing and workstation allocation to maximize production efficiency.

• Ensure smooth production of outerwear products including jackets, padded jackets, coats, parkas, winter wear, soft-shell and other technically complex garments.

• Closely monitor critical outerwear production processes such as sewing, padding/filling, quilting, bonding, seam sealing, pressing, finishing and packing as applicable.

• Ensure operators are properly deployed according to skill level, operation requirements and production capacity.

• Monitor line efficiency, productivity, absenteeism, manpower utilization, overtime and machine utilization.

• Ensure proper implementation of quality checkpoints and immediate correction of recurring production defects.

• Monitor fabric, padding, lining, trims, zippers, accessories and other materials to minimize wastage, damage and production losses.

• Ensure proper control of specialized outerwear materials such as down/feather, synthetic insulation, membranes, tapes and other technical materials where applicable.

• Coordinate with Cutting, Stores and Production Planning to ensure uninterrupted availability of materials to production lines.

•Train, guide and develop Production Supervisors, Line Leaders, Junior Managers and operators to improve productivity and production discipline.

• Perform any other production-related responsibilities assigned by management.
