Experience in plastic processing, polymer compounding, injection molding, extrusion or related manufacturing industries will be highly preferred.

Experience in factory setup, machinery installation, commissioning or production process development will be a significant advantage.

Strong technical understanding of industrial machinery and manufacturing processes.

Excellent production planning and problem-solving capability.

Ability to work effectively with foreign machinery suppliers and technical experts.

Strong leadership, team management and communication skills.

Hands-on approach with the ability to work on the factory floor.

Strong sense of ownership, discipline and accountability.

Willingness to work at the Manikganj factory and travel to Dhaka when required.

Job Overview

CEM Polymer Industries Limited is looking for an experienced and technically strong Factory Manager – Technical to lead the technical and production operations of our upcoming polymer and plastics manufacturing facility.

The selected candidate will be involved from the factory installation and machinery commissioning stage and will work closely with machinery suppliers, technical experts, consultants and the management to develop production processes, establish operating systems and ultimately lead the complete factory operation.

This is a key leadership position with responsibility for transforming the installed manufacturing facility into a stable, efficient and quality-driven production operation.

Key Responsibilities

Factory Setup & Commissioning

• Work closely with management, machinery suppliers, installation teams and technical experts during factory setup and machinery installation.

• Understand the complete technical configuration, process flow, machinery operation and utilities of the manufacturing facility.

• Participate in machinery commissioning, trial production and performance verification.

• Develop practical operating procedures and production workflows.

Production & Process Development

• Take overall responsibility for production planning, execution and production efficiency.

• Develop, establish and optimize manufacturing processes for polymer/plastic compounding and injection/extrusion molding products.

• Monitor production parameters, machine performance, productivity, material consumption and process stability.

• Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective and improvement measures.

• Ensure consistent product quality in coordination with the R&D/QC team.

• Develop production SOPs, work instructions, process parameters and operational checklists.

• Support scale-up from laboratory/trial formulations to commercial production.

  Factory Operations

  • Lead and supervise production, maintenance, utilities and factory operational activities in coordination with respective teams.

  • Ensure proper manpower planning, shift management and workforce discipline.

  • Coordinate with R&D, QC, Engineering, Procurement and Management for smooth factory operations.

  • Monitor raw material consumption, production yield, recycle, wastage and overall manufacturing efficiency.

  • Ensure proper implementation of 5S, Lean Manufacturing, preventive maintenance and continuous improvement practices.

  • Maintain workplace safety, housekeeping and operational discipline.

  • Co-ordinate with raw material store, FG store, HR, maintenance and distribution department.

  Performance & Management Reporting

  • Prepare regular production and operational reports for management.

  • Monitor KPIs including production output, yield, downtime, rejection, wastage, energy consumption and machine utilization.

  • Analyse operational problems and provide practical technical solutions.

  • Continuously improve productivity, quality and cost efficiency.

  • Co-ordinate with sales team to plan the production efficiency.
