• Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing, Garments Technology, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline will be strongly preferred.

• Professional training/certification in Quality Management, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, ISO Quality Management or related areas will be an added advantage.

• Must have substantial experience in outerwear garments quality management.

• Proven experience in managing quality teams across multiple production floors and production lines.

• Strong experience in jackets, padded garments, coats, parkas, winter wear, soft-shell or other technically complex outerwear products will be highly preferred.

• Proven experience working with international buyers and internationally recognized quality standards.

• Candidates with experience in reputed export-oriented garment groups and factories in Bangladesh will be strongly preferred.



Responsibilities & Context:

Position Purpose

To lead and manage the overall Quality Control function of a 20-line outerwear garments manufacturing facility, ensuring consistent achievement of buyer quality standards, product specifications, workmanship requirements and customer expectations across all production processes. The position will be responsible for establishing and maintaining robust quality control systems from fabric and trim inspection through cutting, sewing, padding/filling, quilting, finishing, pressing, packing and final inspection, while minimizing defects, rejection, rework, alteration, customer complaints and quality-related production losses.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the overall Quality Control operations of the 20-line outerwear garments factory.

• Develop, implement and continuously improve quality control systems, procedures, SOPs and inspection standards across all production processes.

• Ensure that all products meet approved buyer specifications, tech packs, approved samples, measurement standards, workmanship requirements and quality standards.

• Establish quality objectives and KPIs for production lines, Quality Managers, Quality Officers, QC Inspectors and other quality personnel.

• Develop and implement effective quality control plans for each style, product category and buyer requirement.

• Ensure proper quality control from incoming materials through final shipment.

• Monitor and control fabric, lining, padding, insulation, trims, accessories, zippers, buttons, tapes, labels and other raw materials to ensure compliance with approved standards.

• Ensure effective fabric and raw material inspection systems, including identification of defects, shade variation, GSM, construction, width, shrinkage and other applicable parameters.

• Closely monitor critical outerwear processes including cutting, sewing, quilting, padding/down filling, bonding, seam sealing, pressing, finishing, washing and packing.

• Ensure proper control of specialized outerwear construction requirements such as waterproofing, windproofing, insulation, quilting, bonding, seam sealing and other technical specifications where applicable.

• Ensure effective implementation of inline, end-line, finishing and final inspection systems across all production lines.

• Monitor quality performance at each production line and ensure immediate corrective action for recurring defects and process deviations.

• Analyze defect data and identify major defect categories, recurring defects, high-risk operations and quality trends.

• Ensure proper control of pre-production meetings, pilot runs, size-set approvals, PP meetings and other quality-related pre-production activities.

• Conduct regular quality audits of production lines and follow up on corrective actions.

• Coordinate internal final inspections and ensure products are shipment-ready before buyer or third-party inspection.

• Support and coordinate buyer inspections, third-party inspections and external quality audits.

• Ensure effective preparation for buyer quality audits and inspections and timely closure of quality-related findings.

• Analyze buyer inspection reports, customer complaints and quality feedback and implement corrective and preventive actions.

• Maintain detailed records of quality performance, inspections, defects, rejection, rework, alterations, corrective actions and buyer feedback.

• Prepare and present daily, weekly and monthly quality performance reports to senior management.

• Perform any other quality-related responsibilities assigned by management.
