Job Context:
∎ Based in Rupganj, Narayanganj
∎ Mid-level Role
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure and implement the HSE policies and standard as outlined in Group policy
∎ Work closely with operations, distribution and customer engineering services to ensure effective and smooth application of key safety priorities on the agenda
∎ Identify areas for improvement and work with the management teams to ensure that sustainable action plans are in place to address the root causes of any incident.
∎ Ensure processes and resources are deployed for business hazard and risk identification and for assessment and control of processes to mitigate risks.
∎ Work closely with the regional SHEQ team to provide the country perspective and leverage the best operating practices globally.
∎ Provide training and support on critical areas like EMOC, HAZOP, PSR and risk assessment
∎ Ensure that SHEQ goals and objectives, as well as safety implementation plans are widely communicated and understood
∎ Support, monitor & perform safety audits annually
∎ Leading the behavioral safety program like - LeadSafe, SiteSafe, ActSafe, SHEQ Climate Survey, SHEQ Road Map, Visible Leadership and other regional, global SHEQ initiatives
∎ Act as Country coordinator for Major Hazard Review Program training, site assessment and review.
∎ Act as Country administrator for incident management through Synergi, which includes incident reporting, investigation, causal tree analysis, action plan, sharing of lessons and incident trend analysis.
∎ Manage yearly SHEQ training plan and conduct/facilitate the training for different functions/groups.
Additional Requirements:
∎ 8-10 years of functional level experience in SHEQ
∎ Internal Auditor Certification on ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and BS OHSAS 18001
∎ Additional:
∎ Strong business acumen and ability to challenge the status quo
∎ Effective diagnostic, questioning, listening & presentation skills
∎ Target oriented - able to translate the sector strategy into actionable plans and revenue
∎ Experience of operating at a senior level within a business unit. Proven ability to advise the best business direction without compromising the SHEQ requirements and highlight opportunities to utilize SHEQ for business gain.
∎ Highly proficient in both written and spoken English and Bengali
∎ Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills and able to work independently with minimum supervision
