Additional Requirements:
  • At least 3-5 years postgraduate experience, ideally with renowned CA firms

  • Experienced in preparing and making Audit Committee and Board presentations

  • Due to the international shape of Linde plc, the Auditor must be multilingual (at least Bangla, English and a second foreign language will be an asset).

  • Technical Skills

  • Basic knowledge of the accounting principles as defined in US GAAP/IFRS

  • Knowledge of the principles, procedures, and techniques of accounting and of financial records and transactions

  • Understanding of the principles and application of good corporate governance, business and operational risk and control

  • Knowledge of other regulations affecting business.

  • Auditing Skills

  • Able to support special audits or investigations including due-diligence work, post-acquisition reviews, and fraud investigations

  • Ability to gain confidence and respect of management and staff through attributes such as professionalism and positive attitude

  • Ability to gather, analyze and evaluate facts, and prepare and present concise oral and written reports

  • Knowledge of International Auditing Standards

  • An ability to communicate appropriately with staff at all levels of the units audited.

  • IT Skills

  • Experienced in use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point.

  • Editorial/Reporting/Presentation Skills

  • Ability to maintain and update Company audit relevant standards, guidelines, procedures, checklists, and dedicated programs

  • Able to write complete, concise, logical well laid-out reports and presentations

  • Competent to give confident oral presentations to management or colleagues.

  • Competencies

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships throughout the organisation.

What you will enjoy doing:

  • Fulfils the country level Audit Committee and Board requirements in the role of Head of Internal Audit for Linde Bangladesh, which is a statutory requirement

  • Performs independent, objective assurance and consulting activities in the role of Auditor of Linde plc in order to add value and improve the organization’s operations

  • Monitors the compliance of the risk management system and continuous improvement of the systems in place

  • Participating in and/or leading the planning and execution of audit engagements in coordination with the department(s) audited

  • Preparing all details required by responsible process owners and management of the audited unit about the audit results after the completion of the audit

  • Ensuring final audit report is prepared, complete and timely issued with cooperation of the audit team and the Head of Internal Audit

  • Ensure that results from audits are implemented immediately or in the near future, through effective audit follow up while ensuring a climate of cooperative teamwork with the audited unit

  • Perform/ support on various whistleblower investigations

  • Testing the design and effectiveness of financial and other controls in different processes including SOX testing.
