Education:
    • Bachelor in Engineering (BEngg) in Industrial Eng & Production, Industrial Engineering
  • Professional certification/training in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Work Study, or Industrial Engineering will be an advantage.

Additional Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of SMV/SAM, Time Study, Method Study, Motion Study, and Line Balancing.

  • Good understanding of footwear production processes.

  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and Continuous Improvement.

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Excel and production/IE reporting.

  • Knowledge of ERP or production management software will be an advantage.

  • Ability to analyze production data and convert findings into practical improvement actions.



Responsibilities & Context:
  • Analyze production requirements and develop effective line-loading and line-balancing plans.

  • Conduct line balancing based on Standard Minute Value (SMV), takt time, production target, and available manpower.

  • Allocate manpower and operations to achieve optimum line efficiency.

  • Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to improve production flow.

  • Analyze footwear production processes from cutting, stitching, lasting, assembly, finishing, and packing.

  • Monitor hourly production against planned targets and identify productivity gaps.

  • Conduct time studies, method studies, and work measurement for footwear production operations.

  • Develop and maintain SMV/SAM for individual operations and complete production processes.

  • Establish standard operating methods and ensure standard times are realistic and achievable.

  • Review SMV periodically based on process improvements, machinery changes, and operator performance.

  • Maintain an updated IE database for products, operations, and production lines.

  • Monitor and analyze line efficiency, labor productivity, machine utilization, capacity utilization, and output.

  • Implement productivity improvement techniques such as Work Study, Method Study, Motion Study, and Lean Manufacturing.

  • Reduce idle time, waiting time, unnecessary movement, bottlenecks, and non-value-added activities.

  • Work closely with Production, Product Development, Technical, Quality, and Merchandising teams during new style/product development.

  • Participate in Pre-Production Meetings (PPM) and identify potential production constraints.

  • Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, waste reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Identify and eliminate the 7/8 wastes in production processes.

  • Coordinate closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, PPC, Merchandising, Product Development, HR, and Supply Chain teams.
