Experience:
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Textile Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a relevant discipline.
Professional training/certification in Production Planning, Supply Chain, or Industrial Engineering will be an advantage.
Proven experience in a managerial/senior leadership role within a reputed RMG manufacturing organization.
Strong understanding of garment production processes, capacity planning, order management, T&A, and production control.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Excellent communication, coordination, negotiation, and leadership capabilities.
Strong proficiency in MS Excel and production planning/ERP software.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of KPI-driven production management and on-time delivery.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and implement long-term, monthly, weekly, and daily production plans based on order requirements and factory capacity.
Analyze order bookings, capacity, lead times, SMV, manpower, machine availability, and production efficiency to establish realistic production plans.
Ensure on-time order execution and shipment through effective planning and continuous monitoring.
Prepare and monitor capacity plans, loading plans, line plans, T&A, and production schedules.
Coordinate closely with Merchandising, Production, IE, Quality, Commercial, Store, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams.
Monitor production progress against plan and identify bottlenecks, capacity gaps, and potential delivery risks.
Develop contingency plans and take proactive measures to minimize production delays.
Optimize line utilization, machine capacity, manpower allocation, and production efficiency.
Review daily and weekly production performance and provide management with accurate reports, forecasts, and corrective-action recommendations.
Ensure proper allocation of orders to production lines based on product complexity, capacity, and efficiency.
Lead planning meetings and follow up on critical orders and production priorities.
Monitor WIP, cutting, sewing, finishing, washing, and shipment status as applicable.
Establish and improve planning systems, procedures, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms.
Drive continuous improvement in capacity utilization, productivity, lead time, and on-time delivery.
Mentor and develop the planning team to build a high-performing and accountable function.
Work closely with senior management to support strategic production and capacity decisions.
Monitor and analyze production KPIs to drive cost-effective, ethical, and timely execution.
