We are seeking skilled professional to operate and monitor the CCM from the pulpit/control room at its SMS Plant. The role involves controlling casting parameters, monitoring strand and cooling systems, and coordinating operational transitions to support safe, stable casting and accurate production records.
Job Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor the CCM from the pulpit/control room according to approved operating procedures to maintain stable casting operations.
Control casting speed, mould level, withdrawal speed, and cooling parameters in line with process requirements to maintain consistent casting conditions.
Monitor tundish temperature and steel flow conditions against casting requirements to support stable steel delivery and product quality.
Monitor mould oscillation, secondary cooling, and strand withdrawal through process displays and operating feedback to identify deviations and maintain casting continuity.
Operate and monitor cutting and strand handling systems according to production requirements to ensure coordinated downstream material movement.
Respond to alarms and process deviations by following approved procedures and coordinating corrective action to minimize disruption and operational risks.
Coordinate with LRF, tundish, and maintenance operators through timely process communication to support casting continuity and equipment readiness.
Maintain casting and sequence-wise records by documenting operating data and deviations to ensure traceability and support performance review.
Support safe start-up, ladle changes, and casting termination by coordinating control-room activities with operating teams to ensure smooth process transitions.
