Responsibilities & Context:

Assist in operating and maintaining plant machinery and equipment as per manuals and standard operating procedures.

Identify operational problems, analyze their causes, and support practical solutions to ensure smooth plant operation.

Monitor process parameters, identify abnormalities, and support troubleshooting in coordination with the production and technical teams.

Carry out field operations as instructed by the Shift In-Charge, DCS Engineer, or Field Engineer to ensure safe and efficient plant operation.

Conduct regular field rounds, check equipment condition, and immediately report abnormalities to the control room.

Support the production team in resolving operational issues and improving departmental performance and efficiency.

Assist in chemical batch preparation as per production requirements and approved operating procedures.

Monitor safety during hot work, cold work, chemical unloading, and chemical transfer activities in accordance with safety procedures.

Maintain shift logs and field log sheets accurately and ensure proper handover to the reliever during shift changes.

Prepare and maintain required documentation related to chemical usage in PVC/VCM/PET/Ethylene plants.
