Experience:
Diploma in Environmental Science from any polytechnic Institute
Safety Professional Certificate is mandatory.
Minimum 3 years of work experience in any recognized, or industry-based Safety service.
Third Party Auditor (Quality, Health, Environment, Compliance)
Knowledge of basic industrial safety is preferred
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
Up-to-date knowledge on latest local and state regulation and guideline changes
Preferred Professional Certification: Must have professional trainings on Environment
Ship Breaking Yard working experience person will be preferred
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Environment Officer to join our growing team. In this position, the inspector will play a key role in ensuring that all projects comply with government & company safety guidelines and procedures. The inspector will also be responsible for ensuring the safety of all employees, make sure all projects are up to code, and provide advice and recommendations for safety improvements.
Job Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Environmental Officer are as follows:
Implement environmental practice, Management Framework (EMF) of the Factory.
To address all environmental issues of the factory including Chemical management system, ETP & WTP plant.
To monitor and develop all policies and procedures regarding EMS.
To improve awareness of Employees and safety of the plant & personnel as per company and government guidelines.
To conduct environmental impact assessment (EIA) and implement environmental management Plan (EMP).
To maintain necessary communication with the DoE.
To be responsible for DoE license & ETP samples.
To maintain related documents and certifications.
To manage hazardous chemical waste program including receipt, classification, storage & disposal in compliance with all applicable regulations.
To create awareness on chemicals related issues amongst the personnel involved in chemical handling.
To follow up and develop Environmental management system.
Assessing safety and environmental issues.
Ensuring safe working conditions and compliance with health and safety legislation.
