Education:
  • Diploma in Shipbuilding / Marine / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree/honours.
  • Safety Professional Certificate is mandatory.
  • Preferred Professional Certification: Must have professional trainings on safety
  • Training/Trade Course: Safety Training
  • Other relevant technical qualifications may be considered.

Additional Requirements:
  • Age 25 to 35 years
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in any recognized, or industry-based Safety service.
  • Knowledge of basic industrial safety is preferred
  • Solid knowledge of local laws and ordinances on fire safety and prevention, loss control, hazardous chemicals, building, electrical, noise pollution and the environment
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
  • Up-to-date knowledge on latest local and state regulation and guideline changes
  • Ship Breaking Yard working experience person will be preferred


Responsibilities & Context:

Responsibilities & Context:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized safety inspector to join our growing team. In this position, the inspector will play a key role in ensuring that all projects comply with government & company safety guidelines and procedures. The inspector will also be responsible for ensuring the safety of all employees, make sure all projects are up to code, and provide advice and recommendations for safety improvements.

Workplace: Work at Ship yard

Job Responsibility:

  • Comply with all Safety guidelines
  • Inspect work-sites and review working conditions
  • Document reports of accidental occurrences and record statistical information
  • Develop and implement Safety training programs
  • Maintain Safety regulations during installations
  • Oversee disposal of substances according to environmental guidelines
  • Ensure statutes, regulations, and codes are clearly understood and met
  • Intervene to stop any acts or processes which are unsafe or do not comply with Safety guidelines
  • Implement preventative measures to ensure unsafe processes are not repeated
  • Ensure all personnel follow all personal Safety precautions (hardhats, protective goggles, etc.)
  • Update procedures and policies for new regulations or local ordinances
