SS Group, a leading conglomerate with diversified business interests in import, trading, manufacturing, inland lighter vessel services, shipping agency services, and other sectors.

We are seeking a highly competent, dynamic, and proactive Manager – Electrical Engineering to head our comprehensive electrical operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring uninterrupted power supply, maintaining complex industrial machinery, and managing electrical systems across our entire corporate offices, factory compounds, and vast logistical yard areas.

Key Responsibilities

1. Industrial Complex & Factory Machinery Operations

• Machine Maintenance: Oversee the preventive, breakdown, and corrective electrical maintenance of all core manufacturing, processing, and production line machinery.

• Automation & Controls: Troubleshoot and maintain PLC networks, VFDs, HMI panels, sensors, and automated control systems to maximize production uptime.

• Substation Management: Manage the operation and regular servicing of high-voltage (HT) and low-voltage (LT) power substations, PFI plants, transformers, and switchgears.

2. Office Compounds & Corporate Infrastructure

• Building Management Systems (BMS): Oversee electrical installations and operations in central corporate and factory offices, including HVAC systems, elevators, and access control.

• Safety & Security Systems: Manage the routine testing and maintenance of fire detection and alarm systems, CCTV networks, and PA systems across the campus.

• Energy Management: Monitor overall power consumption and implement energy-efficient solutions (like LED transitions and load balancing) to reduce utility overheads.

3. Yards, Open Facilities & Utilities

• Yard Infrastructure: Manage the electrical setups, high-mast lighting, perimeter security lighting, and power outlets for heavy machinery or container handling equipment in open logistics yards.

• Backup Power & Utilities: Supervise the continuous operations and regular maintenance of heavy-duty industrial diesel generators, synchronized panels, and central UPS systems.

4. Team Leadership & Regulatory Compliance

• Team Leadership: Direct and mentor a team of electrical engineers, supervisors, and industrial electricians.

• Regulatory Compliance: Maintain strict compliance with safety codes set by the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC), DESCO/DPDC/BPDB, and global compliance auditors.

• Inventory Control: Forecast, budget, and source high-quality electrical spare parts, switchgears, and cables locally and internationally.
