Responsibilities & Context:

The Service engineer shall act as the primary communication link between the customer and the Service Center, ensuring accurate service requirements, transparent communication, and a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive customers professionally and understand their service, maintenance, or repair requirements.

• Conduct initial vehicle reception and prepare accurate Job Cards based on customer complaints and service requirements.

• Clearly explain the required service scope, estimated cost, parts requirements, and expected delivery time to the customer.

• Coordinate with technicians to ensure proper inspection, diagnosis, and execution of the required work.

• Obtain prior customer approval for any additional repair, parts replacement, or work beyond the originally approved scope.

• Provide customers with timely updates regarding repair progress, additional requirements, delays, and expected delivery.

• Maintain accurate and complete job-card documentation throughout the service process.

• Coordinate with the Parts Officer/Storekeeper to ensure required spare parts are available for scheduled repairs.

• Conduct a final review of completed work before vehicle delivery and ensure all customer concerns have been addressed.

• Explain completed repairs, replaced parts, and applicable service recommendations to the customer during vehicle delivery.

• Handle customer concerns professionally and escalate unresolved issues to the Service Center In-Charge.
