• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering / Automobile Engineering from any reputed university (BUET, KUET, RUET, CUET, MIST, IUT, etc., preferred).

• Professional diplomas or certifications in Automobile/Heavy Vehicle Maintenance will be treated as an advantage.

• 7 to 10 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Manufacturing (Light Engineering and Heavy Industry), Trading or Export/Import, Shipping, Group of Companies, Automobile, Industrial Machineries (Generator, Diesel Engine etc.), Building & Construction Materials

• Age At most 45 years

• Must have a blended background with at least 3–5 years in heavy commercial vehicle workshop management and 3–5 years in a manufacturing plant environment.

• In-depth understanding of internal combustion engines (diesel engines), hydraulics, and pneumatic systems.

• Strong leadership skills to handle both factory floor labor and transport workshop mechanics.

• Familiarity with engineering software (AutoCAD) and computerized fleet/maintenance tracking software.

• Excellent command of both Bangla and English (written and verbal).

We are seeking a versatile and dynamic Manager – Mechanical Engineering to oversee a dual-scope operation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the comprehensive maintenance of our commercial automobile fleet (heavy-duty trucks, prime movers, and pickups) as well as the factory’s industrial production machinery and utility systems.

Key Responsibilities

1. Commercial Automobile & Fleet Maintenance

• Fleet Management: Oversee the routine servicing, overhauling, and preventive/corrective maintenance of all commercial vehicles, specifically heavy trucks, prime movers, and logistics vehicles.

• Diagnostics & Repairs: Guide the workshop team in troubleshooting engine failures, transmission issues, hydraulic systems, brake systems, and electrical faults.

• Workshop Oversight: Manage the company's central garage or workshop, ensuring optimal tool utilization and quick vehicle turnaround to minimize logistics downtime.

2. Factory Industrial Machineries

• Plant Machinery Support: Lead the installation, commissioning, operations, and preventive maintenance of all core factory production machinery.

• System Breakdown Management: Quickly diagnose and resolve complex mechanical breakdowns on the production line to ensure uninterrupted factory operations.

3. General Utility & Mechanical Works

• Utility Operations: Oversee the continuous operation and servicing of common factory utility systems, including industrial boilers, air compressors, chillers, generators, and HVAC systems.

• Welding & Fabrication: Supervise general workshop fabrication, structural modifications, pipe fitting, and structural mechanical repairs.

4. Team & Inventory Management

• Team Leadership: Manage a diverse team of assistant engineers, senior mechanics, auto-electricians, and technicians.

• Spare Parts Inventory: Establish a strong inventory control system for auto parts, lubricants, and machinery components. Source high-quality, cost-effective spare parts locally and internationally.
