Responsibilities & Context:
Develop, refine, and perfect comprehensive fabric templates and patterns for core upholstery lines, including sofas, beds, cushions, and recliner sofas.
Translate design concepts, sketches, and specifications into yield-optimized cutting patterns.
Optimize material layout (fabric, leather, foam) to ensure maximum yield and minimize waste.
Collaborate with sample makers and upholsterers to test prototypes, evaluate fit and drape, and make necessary pattern adjustments.
Establish standardized seam allowances, grainlines, notches, and assembly markings for production teams.
Maintain accurate pattern documentation and archives for existing and upcoming furniture models.
