Job Context:
Fresh Polymer and Paints Limited (FPPL), a concern of Meghna Group of Industries (MGI), is an upcoming polymer manufacturing industry in Bangladesh, being developed with modern pipe extrusion technologies to produce uPVC, cPVC, and PE Pipes for infrastructure, housing, and industrial applications. The project is designed to support the growing domestic demand for quality piping solutions and to establish a strong manufacturing platform capable of future expansion. We are inviting applications from experienced and competent professionals for the position of Production Manager (Pipes), who will play a key leadership role during the plant setup, stabilization, and commercial production phases. The incumbent will be responsible for production planning, line readiness, manpower deployment, process standardization, and quality-controlled manufacturing operations, ensuring that production systems are established in line with MGI’s operational, safety, and compliance standards.
Responsibility:
Plan daily, weekly, and monthly pipe production activities based on sales requirements, production capacity, machine availability, and raw material status to ensure timely production.
Lead overall pipe extrusion operations to achieve production targets while maintaining required quality and process standards.
Monitor extrusion parameters such as temperature, pressure, speed, cooling, vacuum, haul-off, and sizing to maintain consistent pipe quality.
Ensure compliance with approved specifications for pipe diameter, wall thickness, weight, length, appearance, printing, and other product parameters to meet quality requirements.
Optimize machine capacity, manpower, raw materials, and production time to improve productivity and reduce manufacturing costs.
Supervise production performance of different pipe production lines and identify bottlenecks to minimize production losses.
Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Planning, Warehouse, and other relevant departments to ensure uninterrupted production operations.
Analyze production reports, downtime, rejection, wastage, and line efficiency to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Develop and implement process improvement initiatives to increase productivity, reduce scrap, and improve overall equipment utilization.
Ensure proper start-up, shutdown, changeover, and product-grade change procedures to minimize material and time losses.
Control production wastage and rework by monitoring process parameters and ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures.
Lead troubleshooting activities related to extrusion, sizing, cooling, haul-off, cutting, and other production processes to restore normal operation.
Ensure proper implementation of SOPs, work instructions, safety procedures, and 5S practices within the production area.
Develop the technical capability of production personnel through on-the-job training, coaching, and performance monitoring.
Prepare production performance reports and present key operational issues, achievements, and improvement plans to management.
